In Dragon age origins, right near the beginning when you start to build your army, you have some contracts and the option of seeing the Arl of Redcliffe. So, who did you go to see first?

Also, looking back, which would you have wanted to see first.

On my first playthrough I did Redcliffe first.

Doing the Mages first is probably most effective though, since Wynne is arguably the best party member in the game (power-wise at least), and you get those tasty attribute bonuses. Also, having the mages available helps get the best ending for the Redcliffe quest.

I went to the Arl of Redcliffe first because it was the closest one to the starting area(if I remember correctly), and seemed like the obvious place to start.

...poll seems messed up. I voted for the Arl, but all the poll results are showing are one (1) vote for the Dalish. That's it. :|

In my current playthroughs, I always go to the Circle... Mostly just to get Wynne.

The Mage Tower has, instead of a lot of vendor trash, tons of weird relic things that give you permanent stat increases, and not a few of them.

Getting them early can help make several extremely valuable Skills available much sooner than otherwise.

Between those stat increases, the opportunity to not have to kill a child in Redcliffe and already-kitted-out-Spirit-Healer Wynne, from a meta-power-twinkery-tweaking-gaming perspective, always go to the Mage Tower first.

I went to see the Arl first, but that was a mistake because I was trying to get the least interesting place out of the way first. I thought that Orzimmar would kick ass. I was wrong.

Same for me. I ended up regretting it as the fight against the undead you're pretty much forced to do is a *****! if your a low level party. Whenever I start now I do trhe circle for the stat boosts (pity its the most boring part of the game. The only good bit is seeing each party members personal hell) and then to Orzamarr because it looks great. Pity the deep roads spoil it by being long, boring and dark.

Yeah, I wished I did mages tower first. I went to Redcliffe instead. If I get around to a second playthrough, I'm totally going to mages tower first.

Went with the elves first, got my ass handed to me repeatedly by that tiny dragon, so went to Redcliff. Got to the point of choosing what to do with the kid, and decided to go call on the mages for backup, went through the mage tower, returned to redcliff and then went to pound the ever-loving crap out of that dragon.

I think I went Redcliffe, then mages circle, then redcliffe again, then dalish and then Orgrimmar.

On my first playthrough it was the Circle of Magi, only because my character was a Mage
second real playthrough was the Dalish, but only so that I could recruit the Werewolves and get the achievement
