well, EXCUUUSE us, the topic title IS kinda about romancing compagnions and bringing up the dog is bound to give you some funny looks.

also, his name is Barkspawn, he may be just a dog, but he has a name and is an important part of this group, y'hear?

ALL OF THEM!!! Well, most of the time Leliana and in my last playthought Morrigan, just because I want to see the super baby, son of the warden. And I want to end her story and the warden's at Inquisition.

i loved how she was kind of evil then you broke her wall down
There's something a little bit creepy about that sentence and I can't quite put my finger on what.
LoL i meant you broke down her emotional wall and she let you in her heart even if it was short

None of them, I actually hate romance in games, as it usually adheres to one rule, which is to get their affection up however you can, even through stupid means, and that's it. Plus it doesn't go well with the kind of characters I play.

I don't know how Morrgain won my liking; Was it the fact she was voiced by Claudia Black (better than Hale imo) or she had the Gothic chick thing going on. Either way, I always find it difficult to sway her away in every play though.

All of the above! Settled on Zevran though, love me some hot man on elf action. He's just such a sweety under that attempted murder thing.

All of them. On my first play through I tried to court both Leliana and Alistair, not knowing at the time that they'd confront me for doing so.

Run #1: Alistair. Take me in your big, strong arms, you handsome stud.

Run #2: Morrigan. I really liked the way she warmed up to you, even though our flirting was nothing if not awkward.

Eh, begrudgingly Morrigan. I dunno, the only companions I even remotely liked were Wynn and Sven. Would've totally had weird stoic gaysex with Sven if I could have. Ended up settling for the *****-witch because she has nice boobs.

It's been a while, but:

Play 1: Female human mage - No one.
Play 2: Male Dalish elf rogue - Morrigan.

Leliana, every time. I sometimes do a run with both Morrigan /and/ Leliana for RP reasons (Witch Hunt, I'm looking at you) but I always end up choosing Leliana every time. That hair... That voice. That CGI face.

All of them. My prime romance was Alistair, since I have yet to finish a male Warden run. Now my Dalish archer is all about Zev.

I started trying to romance Morrigan because I was an elf mage, so there was that connection in how everywhere we went there seemed to be some form of discrimination against us. However, given that every choice I made only made her angry at me, I started romancing Leliana, who agreed with almost every choice I made. Besides, she worked into my squad better, was more beautiful, and had a better accent.

Morrigan, we bonded over our respective upbringings as mages, and found that in addition to magic, we also shared an interest in teasing Alistair, manipulating people, and making genlocks explode in a shower of blood and bone.

Plus I found breaking down her defenses and getting her to admit that (much to her own dismay) she had genuine feelings for you much more interesting than charming Leliana or being charmed by Zevran.

I actually found making someone like Zevran actually fall for you more enjoyable than all of the other companions. I was playing elf mage so Morrigan and Leliana were somewhat intimidating. It was really funny during the dark ritual cut scene, when Morrigan is approaching the bed, to see my warden's reaction. He looked scared out of his mind XD

Also, on another playthrough, I managed to get friendzoned by Zev. I think I am the only person ever to want to romance him and be friendzoned XD

Morrigan primarily, because Claudia Black is awesome and I don't think I would have if any other voice actor would of done the character.

I might of had some flirts with Leliana to see the other characters romance sides, but in the end I ended up back to Morrigan because my mind was already "locked" to that decision the moment I realized that I could romance her.

I mainly kept her as a hybrid mage/healer in my party along with Alistair as a tank/templar, me as a 2H dps and leliana as a buffer/rogue most of the game. I really laughed out loud at the banter between Morrigan and Alistair.

Sten. It's there, you just have to know what to look for (and Qunari don't associated love with sex). He has a side one with Shayle though.

I'd say Alistair because it's a quite well written ark, and while I like both Leliana and Morrigan, the former seemed a bit too... well, easy and accessable, and the latter was a bit temperamental, although a very interesting character. In terms of Zevran, by the time I usually picked him up, I was usually already pretty involved with the others to fully dedicate time to the process.

That said, I prefer the romances in Dragon Age 2, even if they were a bit harder. Merill was a bit more interesting as a character than Leliana, Fenris was plain awesome, and Isabella and Anders look interesting even though in the end, Anders is going to die no matter what. I just wish I was allowed to romance Aveline.

Mostly Alaster because I usually played a female. But he's funny and legitimately charming, and since he's plot integral his character has the best emotional arc.

Leliana is as dull as a stack of bricks

Zevran had no middle ground between winy and melodramatic. (And I liked Alaster? Yeah I know I'm a hypocrite)

And Morrigan wasn't a lesbian. (She was my second favorite romance, so I rolled Male characters just so I could romance her.

The team mate I would have loved to romance was Wynne. If she was romanceable I Would have picked her every time

The first playthrough, Leliana.

Because, you know, I don't get enough lesbian romance in fiction.. (Or real life)
Would have gone with Morrigan, but she wasn't into women, unfortunately.

On subsequent playthroughs I have romanced all characters.

My heart belongs to Merrill from DA2, though.
