Right, it'll suck just as hard as Max Payne and Prey did. Relax, assuming that it does ever come out, it'll be ok. Probably not earth-shattering nor incredibly groundbreaking, but it'll be fine. Overhyped and suck hard? Nah, that title's already been taken by Daikatana.Dante_Alucard said:I will never play that game ever...mmmmm maybe once ...nope never. It will be overhiped and probley suck hard. Wait maybe it already came out and they named it something else..............................Halo 3 perhaps.

I was attempting to make a point that there have been games with extreme development times before that ended up being quite good (and both had been initially developed by 3DRealms nonetheless). Unless of course you think those games did suck hard...Thisusernameisjustanotherwasteofspace said:This is when I stopped reading your post.
Indeed. You can't fault a game for being old.end_boss said:Same with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. Anything that involved sprites, before polygon models, would do the same.TJ rock 101 said:i dont like duke nukem much. in the first one the aliens were big pixels and when you killed them the bodies always faced you if you turned around them >.<
I wish I had too but like watching a car crash in slow motion I just couldn't turn away. Max Payne is an awesome game, hell it invented bullet time and brought noir to gaming, if you are going to make a statement like that at least explain why you hated it? Prey was pretty good too, not as good as I hoped it would be but certainly not bad, not like 'Plumbers don't wear ties' bad.Thisusernameisjustanotherwasteofspace said:This is when I stopped reading your post.mackintosh said:Right, it'll suck just as hard as Max PayneDante_Alucard said:I will never play that game ever...mmmmm maybe once ...nope never. so itl be a murder fest bit like painkiller....what more could you ask for.nightfish said:As for DNF....as long as they keep the essentials of what Duke Nukem was about then it will be ok. Can't seeing it blowing anyone away, but it will be fun.
Arrrghhhh...are you people blind? That sentence was bleeding and oozing sarcasm! Don't just drag it and flog it out of context. My point was exactly that BOTH Max Payne AND Prey were EXCELLENT games, despite their protracted development time. BOTH have also been developed with the involvement of 3DRealms. Ergo, now, therefore, DNF will probably be a good game as well (assuming that it will ever be released). It will, most likely, not live up to the hype (in reality nothing ever really does, we have insatiable expectations), but if Max Payne and Prey are anything to go by, it will be a proper, well-designed, enjoyable game.Drong said:I wish I had too but like watching a car crash in slow motion I just couldn't turn away.
