Poll: Dystopian futures.

I seem to recall something that my dad told me about an old sci-fi author, can't remember who. Basically, most of his stories are set in a dystopic future, but occasionally he'd have a utopian setting, and include a reference to the day they killed all the lawyers.
Now, moving closer to the topic, why am I the first person to notice the lack of half-life 2 setting? Unless, that is, it's similar to one of the ones I don't know about already in the poll.

Read the ultimates, re-imagining of the avengers that sorta has that. It is what started the Nick Fury/Samuel L. Jackson thing. It also has the follwing line.

While reading 1984, I couldn't help but think of Half-Life 2 and the great Citadel. It really does look somewhat like I imagine the setting in the book would be.
