I think Bethesda would do better sticking to the Elder Scrolls series - let Obsidian revive the Fallout series and focus on their own IP.
And give Obsidian an id Software engine to work with instead of that... thing Bethesda gave them for Fallout: New Vegas. I think they'd do better with an engine that isn't the equivalent of a freaking minefield. They need a nice cozy couch of an engine that id Software can come up with.

I'd like to see a new ES. I agree with previous posts: 2 Fallout games in a row... They've got to be working on a new ES. (my first post! WHOOP!)

Hey, if Zenimax get around to letting Obsidian loose on id's Rage engine I'll be a very happy post-apocalyptic camper.

New elder scrolls and for god's sake don't make it easier!

I don't want to be able to kill the final boss by paralysing him and punching him to death, that shouldn't be possible!

Well, considering Fallout: New Vegas sold well and the general reception is that Obsidian built a better world - with a few problems due to engine limitations that they had to deal with, that and them not being the best of programmers - I'd think ZeniMax foolhardy not to purchase Obsidian and give them the Fallout License to develop with and let Bethesda do what it does with the Elder Scrolls License.

I'd love to see Obsidian owned instead of independent. They don't seem to get enough leeway when independent... then again, ownership is a two-sided coin. While they gain leeway, they lose some more rights as well.

Thankyou for all your replies.

My vote goes to Elder scrolls aswell :)

Fallout has indeed been marvelous, but im fed up with it for the time being.

I miss the elder scrolls lore and magic.

Pollwise, elder scrolls has a massive lead. I hope someone in bethesda sees this x)

I prefer the Fallout series, but I'd like to see a new Elder Scrolls game with an adapted version of the new id tech engine, so that they can learn how it works and how to use it, so that they'll have perfected it by the time they get to Fallout 4. A little selfish, but whatever.

I'd also like to see Obsidian become a subsidiary of Zenimax, and giving them the rights to the Fallout series might make them more comfortable with branching further from the formula of Fallout 3 - It seemed like they felt too obliged to stick close to how Fallout 3 worked since it was so popular.

I saw how they improved the Bethesda brand of open world role playing in Fallout and would like to see them carry these improvements over to Elder Scrolls

I'm pretty sure they're actually making Fallout 4 right now, but I could be wrong.

I would like to see both, though... but I would prefer a new Fallout over the Elder Scrolls if I had to choose.
I think they said they were working on Fallout 4.

Two Fallouts in the last two years, and 4 years since Oblivion. Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a new Elder Scrolls title :) If they decide to go with a new Engine (which I'm pretty sure they will), I guess it'll take some time, but I'm pretty happy with waiting if it turns out the way the other Elder Scrolls games did, which means AWESOME.

I'm hoping for a new TES game ... need a good hacky slashy ...

Obviously more in the vein of Morrowind, not Oblivion (albeit Shivering Isles was fun ^_^). No Fast Travel <.< IF you're in the wilderness you're STUCK THERE.

That and I want to see vampiric Snake people eating monkey men ... stop fucking teasing us already and create an Akavir - Based TES.

With ships and islands instead of just one big continental landmass. A game in which you get to command a ship would be nice <.< but that's possibly asking too much ... but an Akavir-based TES would be *awesome*.

Lets escape the 'usual' races and embrace the exotic in TES 5 ... give the option to play one of the original races, but don't have them as the focus for the majority of contacts.

Seeing as I've played the entirety of the Fallout series to fucking death over the past several months, I'm swiftly growing god damn sick of it, even with the copious amounts of mods out there, nothing seems to be able to revitalise my experience to something fresh and new.

Give me a new TES game and I'll be happy.

I want to see a new Elder Scrolls game that upgrades what they had in Morrowind. Imagine combining the best bits of Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout x3

Seeing as how we've had two Fallout games since the last Elder Scrolls, I think it's ES time. They don't need to change a whole lot. Upgrade the engine, learn from Fallout and make the world feel more "alive", and yea...maybe make being a vampire more like it was in Morrowind, and add Werewolves again, too? I'm actually fine with scaling enemies, kept the game from getting boring, and I also never understood the hatred for fast travel....you aren't being forced to use it, you know, and it's nice when you just feel like going back to the shop and selling all the crap you just picked up.
