I wouldn't mind if they brought back elevators, but first you would have to also bring back the Mako except instead of all the generic worlds, make them look better, that's what I hated most about ME1.

I miss elevators, I miss exploration with The Mako, I miss armors and weapon upgrades and I miss going to the airlock to get in and out of The Normandy. ME2 is awesome, but they dumbed it down for no reason. It could have been so much better if it kept the same awesome things that made ME1 what it is.

"Equalizing interior pressure with exterior atmosphere. Logged: the Commanding Officer is ashore. XO Presley has the Deck."

It made the experience nice and seamless.

I miss the elevators. ME2 had little to no party banter, and that was a shame.

who doesn't love "Hamlet: performed by an all Elcor cast"?
I'm hoping the new elevators have televisions so we can watch Elcor Gone Wild

Yes, I want the elevators back. It helped disguise the loading screen and added to immersion, plus it meant that you got to hear squad mate banter (I swear bringing Ashley and Wrex into an elevator results in brilliant back and forth quips) which in turn helps characterize them to an extra degree.
The loading screen is just that, a loading screen. No immersion, no character banter and it takes just as long as an elevator does... all it does is break the flow and realism of the game into sections.

All things considered I would rather the elevator.

The elevator rides in the first one didn't just "not break immersion" for me, but instead added to it. I always thought that Commander Sheppard didn't have a magical teleporty device and neither should I. Same with the airlock.
So I would love if they brought them back, abeit with more squad banter and maybe some ads or news clips on a video screen

Elevators>load screens. ME2 took a few steps forward, but that was one of a few that were a step BACK.
in my opinion Mass Effect two took quite a few steps back

The banter/news reports-in-elevators-to-hide-load-times in ME1 were part of a long list of things that were cocked up in the sequel.

I'd definitely like to see their return (or a similar take on the same concept) in the 3rd installment. Totally blatant loading screens break immersion far more savagely.

I like the elevators, I miss them and hope to see them again. No more loading screens at all.

So long as they let your party converse in an elevator outside the citadel, then I'm all for more elevators.

Did anyone else make a game out of having Shepard positioned awkwardly in elevators in the first game? I always crouched and pulled out a gun as I entered.
