I listen to Eminem. I like a lot of his stuff. Much better than that 50 Cent wanker. I can't stand all this Money cars girls rapping.

I was about to name drop them. You're stealing my thing, I mention them every time rap comes up. They also beat the "Rap is for black people" stereotype.

He is the only rapper I know of that raps about something other then bootie and hoes.
Fixed it for you. You're insulting rap with a statement like that. One rapper who doesn't rap about those topics would be Everlast. And by your definition of "raps about something other than booties and hoes" I could mention a whole slew of rappers, since it seems to mean "this person sometimes raps about booties and hoes, and other times he doesn't."

Fixed it for you. I love Eminem, he's talented, he has a somewhat unique rapping style, is a great lyricist, collaborates with some really good artists to superb effect and all his stuff (with the exception of Relapse and American Nightmare) is pretty damn awesome.

That said, he could try to put some variety into the subject matters he deals with, but whatever, he's still great.

Y'all need to listen to more Sage Francis, Atmosphere, and Aesop Rock. The amount of Hip Hop ignorance here is just painful. :(

Nay.

I'm not a fan. I used to kind of enjoy his music until my ex-flatmates played his songs over and over ad nauseum. The only song of his that I can still stand is "Lose Yourself", a true classic in my eyes.

Well, he is the only awesome white rapper I know of, so definitely yes.

Thanks for stealing my points on the first two posts.

I did think of something though, one of his songs was featured in a trailer for Modern Warfare 2. That song made that trailer infinitely more awesome. Can't recall the name though.

Here's another.

He's from Somalia, and most of his raps are about growing up there. He's pretty good, look him up.

On topic, his early stuff was okay (Early stuff meaning everything from My Name Is to Relapse). A few songs on Relapse are okay, but they're definitely not my favorites out of all of his songs.

Only decent rapper out there IMHO, but then again, that's like saying "only decent cyanide-covered cupcake you're forced to eat at gunpoint". ..or maybe not..

.. some people on this site should seriously just shut the fuck up when it comes to rap, far too much ignorance to say anything constructive.

On-topic, I used to like him, not so much any more, although I don't really listen to him now.

Either you love him or you hate him.
Oddly I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't agree with him on many things, but I think he's very talented, more so than most people in that genere of music. I've been impressed by his vocal control at times, being able to do differant kinds of voices and maintain it enough to rap that way.

I think he's worthy of his fame and popularity, but at the same time he's not one of my personal favorite entertainers. Nor am I big fan of the Rap/Hip Hop genere to begin with.

I think he has gotten worse.

His early stuff was just hilarious. I don't really like serious rap.
Same

He was my first album, then it got worse and I moved on to listening to metal.. :O
