is it a nerd thing or something?Carnagath said:Yes, yes you are.coxafloppin said:God, am i the only one that doesnt find Emma Watson attractive? I still see her as a kid, even though shes older than me.
And now, nudity = unnecessary sex.Simriel said:Children will however want to see it, and most likely will get to. It is rather unnecessary in this story. Unnecessary sex scenes are never tasteful.Labyrinth said:There's a difference between "children's book" in the sense of the early Potter novels and "Mid-teen" book as I'd describe the later ones. I've got no delusions about how much mid- and late-teens are curious about sex. In the context described by the book, and probably in the movie, there'll be very little to the scene. It'll be tastefully PG-13, M tops.Simriel said:My issue is not nude scenes in general, but this is a CHILDRENS BOOK! Hollywood needs to stop sexualising my childhood!
I really wish hot 18 year old girls were only a "nerd thing", but unfortunately it seems to be a universal thing.coxafloppin said:is it a nerd thing or something?Carnagath said:Yes, yes you are.coxafloppin said:God, am i the only one that doesnt find Emma Watson attractive? Titaniczelda2fanboy said:No way the MPAA would let this stand. First of all, no there's not going to be nudity. Maybe, there might be some back nudity, but no butt cheeks. You might say that Twilight has been a big ruse to sell sex to kids, and though this may be true, the second a nipple pops out, you can bet your boots the MPAA will try to make it R or NC-17. They can rate a movie differently based on their own personal preference and there's no accountability whatsoever. If they think Harry Potter is more for kids and there a tit right in the middle of it, they will do everything in their power to ensure kids won't see it.
You have been trying? I do not know you so why have you been? And the nudity is going to be in a sexual context, which I find to be unnecessary to Harry Potter.Cakes said:And now, nudity = unnecessary sex.Simriel said:Children will however want to see it, and most likely will get to. I seriously can't figure out how your mind works.
I don't think the issue is whether it is appropiate, I think it is whether it is necessary. DO they really have to be portrayed nude, or are they just giving the viewers fan service?Labyrinth said:I think we, as a culture, need to get the hell over nudity. Oh My God Bodypart! just doesn't cut it. The body isn't dirty, or disgusting, or unnatural. It's just human, whether it's Radcliffe or Watson or Jack Black or you or I.
Nude scenes? More power to them. We just need to stop fetishising every inch of skin available, within the set parameters of media-deemed "Attractiveness" of course. God forbid people should expose skin that's outside the norm.
Yes, as you and several others have already informed me. So I repeat, I stand corrected.Macgyvercas said:Technically, in the books, they are 17 by this point, and that's an adult in the wizarding world (MY god, how the hell do I know that??? I need to go play more video games).canadamus_prime said:I feel obligated to point out the the actors in question are still underage at this point if I'm not mistaken.
Also, the actors are over 18.
EDIT: Wouldnt't the seeing Emma Watson. Could definately live without seeing Daniel Radcliffe
I dont find her hot, She doesnt seem to have curves in the right places, and her face bores me.Carnagath said:I really wish hot 18 year old girls were only a "nerd thing", but unfortunately it seems to be a universal thing.coxafloppin said:is it a nerd thing or something?Carnagath said:Yes, yes you are.coxafloppin said:God, am i the only one that doesnt find Emma Watson attractive?
