*sigh*

Escapist, I thought you were better than this. I mean, really, what? There is some pretty terrible violence in the last book. Horrific violence is a-okay, as long as nobody sees any nipples?

'the fuck is wrong with you?!?

My issue is not nude scenes in general, but this is a CHILDRENS BOOK! Hollywood needs to stop sexualising my childhood!
There's a difference between "children's book" in the sense of the early Potter novels and "Mid-teen" book as I'd describe the later ones. I've got no delusions about how much mid- and late-teens are curious about sex. In the context described by the book, and probably in the movie, there'll be very little to the scene. It'll be tastefully PG-13, M tops.
Children will however want to see it, and most likely will get to. It is rather unnecessary in this story. Unnecessary sex scenes are never tasteful.
And now, nudity = unnecessary sex.

I seriously can't figure out how your mind works.

I think David Yates is either giving in to the lure of fanservice, or else he was secretly a Harry/Hermione shipper (or his kids were, I don't know) and when he found that she gets with Ron instead he decided to undermine that in the final films.

Seriously though. The article mentions Harry will be naked in the scene at the end where he's in 'Limbo'. That's fair enough. You're not going to be wearing the same clothes you usually wear when you're alive if you're in Limbo, right? That's all in context, so fair enough. But the whole 'nudity in Ron's visions' thing just reeks of shipping and fanservice. That scene in the book does not have any mention of nudity, if I recall correctly. So it's pretty silly to decide to stick it in the film for no apparent reason. That said, I'd have no problems seeing Emma Watson in the nude. Radcliffe either, to a given extent. But in a film like Harry Potter, in a way that's completely out of context with the scene, for no real reason? I don't think so.

The idea will probably be trashed. I mean, little five year olds watch Harry Potter movies also, as well as plenty of other people who it would be considered inappropriate to show soft-core porn. The director would alienate a TON of his audience if they go through with it.

Well, guess I'm not going to see THAT with my parents.

OT: Emma Watson, yes. Daniel Radcliffe? No. And this really doesn't seem to fit in Harry Potter anyways...

Yes, yes you are.
is it a nerd thing or something?
I really wish hot 18 year old girls were only a "nerd thing", but unfortunately it seems to be a universal thing.

No way the MPAA would let this stand. First of all, no there's not going to be nudity. Maybe, there might be some back nudity, but no butt cheeks. You might say that Twilight has been a big ruse to sell sex to kids, and though this may be true, the second a nipple pops out, you can bet your boots the MPAA will try to make it R or NC-17. They can rate a movie differently based on their own personal preference and there's no accountability whatsoever. If they think Harry Potter is more for kids and there a tit right in the middle of it, they will do everything in their power to ensure kids won't see it.

You have been trying? I do not know you so why have you been? And the nudity is going to be in a sexual context, which I find to be unnecessary to Harry Potter.

I don't really care about this.
It's just a movie, if people don't like it. Sucks to be them, they can't do a thing about it.
If people do like it, good for them, it's a plus to the movie.

I think we, as a culture, need to get the hell over nudity. Oh My God Bodypart! just doesn't cut it. The body isn't dirty, or disgusting, or unnatural. It's just human, whether it's Radcliffe or Watson or Jack Black or you or I.

Nude scenes? More power to them. We just need to stop fetishising every inch of skin available, within the set parameters of media-deemed "Attractiveness" of course. God forbid people should expose skin that's outside the norm.
I don't think the issue is whether it is appropiate, I think it is whether it is necessary. DO they really have to be portrayed nude, or are they just giving the viewers fan service?

And no, I'm not from Switzerland.

Nude scenes are for 24 year old women portraying 19 year olds, not girls who are actually 19, and she looks younger still, significantly so. Legal or not, my pedophile sense is tingling.

I feel obligated to point out the the actors in question are still underage at this point if I'm not mistaken.
Technically, in the books, they are 17 by this point, and that's an adult in the wizarding world (MY god, how the hell do I know that??? I need to go play more video games).

Also, the actors are over 18.

EDIT: Wouldnt't the seeing Emma Watson. Could definately live without seeing Daniel Radcliffe
Yes, as you and several others have already informed me. So I repeat, I stand corrected.

No. Fapping material is nice. Harry Potter is nice. Fapping material + Harry Potter = fun for 10 minutes, then a ruined fantasy world.
