When writing on sites, like this forum for example, do you use English or American spell-check? I use English, as I'm more used to it, and I like the spelling better (even though u after o sometimes looks a bit weird).

British....because I am.

Silly question, seeing as most escapists are one or the other.

My spell checking software is ostensibly American, but since I read and have posted quotes from quite a few publications that originate on the other side of the pond, I've mostly trained it to recognize the British spellings as actual words.

Ergo it depends.

I'm American, but British spelling is cooler.

Off Topic: [small] I wish I had a British accent [/small]

English, because not only am I English, I like to do things they way they were meant to be done.

Unless the way they are meant to be done is shit, which in this case it isn't
of course, but I was just stating that for clarity.

I'm an American, so I use the American spellings.

Edit: Wow, there sure is a lot of elitism involving a spell checker. Haha.

Wait... there's an online spellchecker? Where?
There's a bunch of Firefox add-ons that correct spelling [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3], available in a hundreds of different languages.

I've got the British version and I used it three times while writing this post.

English every time. It's how it is meant to be. We were writing English when "Americans" were starving out their first winter.

Like, Armor or Armour? Or color or colour?

Well American, of course. Just makes more sense in a language that doesn't make much at all.
