Yeah, guess.

Best group on here. Only group where you can go from discussing Dr. Who, philosophy, Dawn of War (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!), and ice cream all in 15 minutes.

I'd call it more of a social group that has a heavy (lol) emphasis on TF2.

We also organize the occasional L4D 1 + 2/Killing Floor game.

Been a mild flame war between some dudes over the use of all these Jim gaga avatars. Started in that thread about Avatar individuality and moved into PRIATE and the newly formed NNINJA

So I see. It seems pretty childish. Even more amusing considering how I was repeatedly told in another thread to not take the whole Avatar/PRIATE thing seriously.

Nah, it's always been that way. Forum game threads tend to possess a certain self-perpetuating nature which threads in the other sections do not have. On top of that, fewer people visit the forum game section. Where off-topic and the others get repeat threads on very specific topics, forum games has fewer topics which, due to their vague and self-perpetuating nature, are posted in a lot more.

That is why they don't 'count', and never have.

Besides, it's not the longest thread ever. One was deleted a while ago that had over 10,000 pages of responses. It was closed simply because it was getting too huge and was screwing with teh softwarez, or something.

And, of course I choose the TF2 group. I made the thing.

Let basement dwellers be basement dwellers. It was all in good spirit in my eyes. Everyone likes to have a little argument I guess. All is sorted now I suppose.

I found the idea itself quite funny, it's just it forgot about sods law "If something can go wrong it will go wrong". Most people stuck to the rules and idea but there would always be some who spammed or took it too personally when others didn't like it. The same way there'd always be some who got pissed off that the in-crowd came up with an inside joke and they didn't know about it.
