I've heard a few of their songs, and they're pretty good. Rap however, isn't particularly my thing.

I think I have two of their albums. They're not that bad. I like a couple of their songs. But I prefer Bliss and Eso. Not a huge fan of hip-hop or anything. They seem fairly popular in Australia, at least amongst those who are fans of that kind of music.

I like them. Most of there songs are catch, have good flow and some of the songs are pretty funny. There kinda popular but not AT the top.
As for a US tourI would't rule it out. Biss 'n Eso (like HH but not as big, if you liked HH you should check them out) played shows over there so I don't see why HH wouldn't.

So, about a year ago, I stumbled across this hip hop group by the name of Hilltop Hoods. Now, over here in the U.S. of A, no one, and I mean NO ONE, I've asked has ever heard of them, but the instant they hear Hoods, they're hooked. So my question to you is, are they popular on their home turf, and what are the chances of dragging them over here for a show or 12?

I'm from the same town as Hilltop Hoods. They are very popular in Australia. They're also notable as the only Australian rap act that makes decent money.

I don't really like them personally, they've always been a bit too smooth and nice for me, I like both my beats and rhymes to be a bit rougher. However, they've been very influential and friends of mine have coined what they like to call the "Hilltop Hoods effect" - before HH, no Australian rappers would rap in Australian accents - now they almost all do.

I can't see it being much longer before they get over to the US for some touring, especially given that they've already been to Europe, but who knows.
