Wisconsin, USA.

Though, I am pleasantly surprised at the variety of the poll. Or at the very least, the people who just happened to be perusing it.

I'm from the US. I live in the southern part of Mississippi(I specify southern because the real freaky people, the ones in those horrible movies, live in north Mississippi for the most part. Going to the delta is like going to another country. A poorer and more backwards one at that)
Oh look, a fellow Mississippian! Also, I agree with you about the delta. Some of my mom's family lives there, so I don't really complain, besides, I like looking at fields of wheat. It seems so....welcoming?

OT: I was born in Jackson and lived there for 10 years and moved to a little town called Terry. If you care to look it up, it's a bit north of Crystal Springs, and south of Byram, also called the pit-stop city.

That sounds like an awful commute, man. I live around the Hikes Point area, close to St. Matthews. I go to school in the Highlands so it's like a 15 minute drive, haha. Et tu?

Oh, not everyday. I'm in Louisville now, grew up here, and normally come up whenever I have 4 or more days off to work. Middletown for me, had to drive 25 inutes to go to Highschool though ( I went to Male).

Canada, I'm proud to be Canadian, and I don't think I want to live in any other country, though visiting other countries and learning about their culture/history is always fun.

Oh, don't get me started on nepotism. My friend encountered it. His mom works at a motorcycle dealership, other than her most of the people that work there part owners since because they are members of the family that owns the business.

Well there was spot opening up for hire, and my fiend's mom tried to see if she could get him the position, just as something to hold him over until he could get a job that fit the actual field he wants to get into.

Well the sister owner of the store, she works there as well(is in charge of hiring), and she told my friend's mom that she couldn't hire him because they "aren't allowed to hire family members of employees". The next day, my friend's mom found out that the woman hired her nephew.

So even having a lead on the inside doesn't always work, if the company has hypocritical hiring policies.
Technically owners aren't employees, so they didn't break that rule. They are just dicks. I would like to point out nepotism did work in your example. It just comes down to the strength of the connection when there is multiple cases of it going on for one position.
