Ireland have one close neighbour and Jedward are on 93 points - they have to have done something right.

That being said, I didn't actually watch any of it, so I don't know.

Yeah, but generally neighbours give 12 points. So more neighbours, means more 12 points, giving an headstart.

You know, it's strange. Some years, I watch it nearly every week. My friends and I even made a big thing about the finale last year. Oh no I didn't. I didn't even get to vote on who went. We had a cool rock band instead.

I broke a flood levee near where they live back in 09 hoping to get them.

Unfortunately that failed and now they haven't been in the country long enough to finish this.

Yea I saw it... and I didn't like the outcome... I had pegged five others as winners before Azerbeijan... seriously... The female singer could not... sing... I had Denmark/Sweden as obvious winners... Italy Grew on me after the third time... kindda cool and Jazzy... and then there was Ireland for being funny and Hyper x3...

Azerbeijan did not even come close to the "quality" of those four acts... Just my 5 cents anyways

Yes, fortunatly I never have to watch past the first round. We haven't made it through it in 7 years. Even though we have more than enough talent. Why do sent stuff like this, it's just too embarrising Facepalm city.

Oh Jesus, I don't even want to think of how my country will embarass itself this time.

Well my plan was to go out get very drunk but that turned into watch inception on dvd and still get drunk i don't even know why i dignify eurovision with even this much of a response. :/

Awesome! We got 100 points and were on the left side of the board, only 2 other times in the last 12 years have we broken the 100 barrier (all the others were less than 40). I'll have to thank my Bulgarian friends as their country gave us 12 points .

We were all sitting watching and it was nice because there was a girl from Azerbaijan sitting on the couches with us and she was really cheerful that they won because she didn't expect it, which is nice. My votes were with Jedward and Maldova (the hats! I couldn't get over the hats!) because I always love the really fun cheesy stuff. My favourite song though was probably Iceland's one (I know, not a popular choice but hey, I have my own tastes).

Plus, the German girl with her seductive moves reminded me of why I voted for her last year....mmmm....

All in all a fun show!

Couldn't keep my eyes from flicking up to the TV every so often to ogle the correspondents.

good show with a nice technical execution and a few cool/funny moments (like the ska band from Moldavia or those Ireland twins), unfortunately to little hilarious party acts

the winner is ok i guess for a former eastern bloc country (italy was the best out of the top5 though)

at least they have more aesthetic value than this kind of music

but i feel sorry for some countries like Austria, Switzerland and France who deserved better
