Yes, yes, a million times, yes.

Most of this year for me has been feeling surreal, dull and just.. Slow. Probably because looking for work sucks.

Nothing amazing happens here and you get used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary. Every day we spend here is like a whole lifetime of dying slowly.

Quote from FLCL, but I'm pretty sure all of us feel like this at one point in our lives some of us more than others. Hell I know I feel that way everyday of my life.

I know this is probably gonna do down a little weird, and its very possbile most people won't know what I'm talking about, but do you ever feel like you're sleepwalking through your life? Or you're not being the real you, that you feel you could be?

What I mean by this is do you ever feel like you're living someone else's life, or as though you don't feel exactly yourself, or like you just don't care about anything? It's almost as if I can just kinda float through my life and just not to do anything whilst everyone else seems to have all these things going on..

It's a kind of weird thing to describe but I really hope you guys know what I mean by this because it's starting to bug me and want to know if anyone else feels like this or if they know how to stop it?
Arrrgh, too many bad memories of NGE.
On topic however, no, I feel fairly fullfiled at this point in my life.

EVERY.
SINGLE.
DAY.

Please let me know when you find a way to change yourself into caring about petty shit like everyone else so you can smile and say "I like those ones!!!" while watching fireworks instead of wondering how much energy, money, time, resources, and development was put into making some shit blow up to look pretty. Like, the colors involved, the physics involved to make them trail across the sky, to make extra parts explode after a few seconds...

Etc, etc.

And you should also let me know when you find a way to not only nullify your own mind, but you can also make other people understand that you don't think MJ being dead should STILL be front page news, while the state senate being deadlocked because of a coup is on page 20+.
You think that's bad? I know people who have cried because Michael Jackson died.

I've done this before, and it usually helps, but sometimes I just end up feeling like this again (although this is the worst its been in awhile) so what if I can't find what I want to do on my own or if it's more than just this. I know it's kind of a big thing throwing this all at you but I really don't know what else to do.

(I like to sing, even if im not very good, and like to think I'm a good writer, and I like to tell people stories. And passion is a characteristic that I love)
Ever considered getting involved in music journalism? I'm not kidding. Find something you have a passion for, study those who have done it in the past, talk to people who are doing what you want to be doing.

Start a blog, right now, not tomorrow, now. You don't even have to be a good writer (look at Dan Brown). You just have to do it. Seriously, "Music and Passion from the Disaster Button" is a blog that has an audience. It builds a portfolio, which makes more things possible in the future.

Take singing lessons. You'll meet people, do something you enjoy, and get better at it. Any downsides there?

Even if none of this stuff is anything that you actually want to do (I went real heavy on the music stuff), you'll be closer to what you actually want to do. The big problem is that people often settle. The comfort and ease of what we are doing is so much easier than taking a chance.

It takes a lot of work to know what you want your life to be. When it hits you, it hits you like a bolt from the blue. I remember the exact moment when I realized what I was going to do with the rest of my life. It's a good feeling and you'll get it too.
Thanks, that does actually really help, and I was thinking of taking music lessons a few days ago so maybe I could go see a music teacher at my school and see if she knows anyone and get that sorted. But one thing, how do I start a blog? Seriously I have no idea how..

First of all you've clearly forgotten the first rule. Second, you're right, but you need to couple it with this shirt and then life will have meaning again

When I get that feeling its time for me to either go to sleep, or to take my medication. Or both.
