I find this idea really weird (but not in a bad way, just a "that is so fascinatingly different"). To me, pain is bad by its very nature. It's pain. I've never been pleased to feel it.

"Ever harmed yourself for pleasure?"

Yep. Thankfully I saw the error of my ways though and got a divorce.

Physically, no. I'll generally exercise my mind to the point where I have a splitting headache, though. Does that count?

No...well I don't think so...I'll let you know later, but right now I don't know. I think I may of done something painful so and then it became pleasurable but I really can't remember!

Hmm, does tying a cord that's tied to a metal frame around your neck and using the same cord to tie your hands behind your back count? I had an injured wrist and arm (over fifteen marks, only counting the ones that drew blood) at the time, but still tied the cord as tight as possible. Oh! And I used to bang my head on things for fun, but stopped when my head started slowly secreting blood. And I do sometimes slap myself to keep myself awake.

When I was a younger man, I sat through the Spice Girls movie in theaters with my girlfriend in the pursuit of eventually getting laid.

That's not what you meant was it? Well fuck it man, have you ever SEEN that garbage? That was masochistic!

Nope. Pain hurts for a reason. To make sure you don't do it again, because you want to live.
People are built to keep themselves in good, working condition.
Which is why I think self harm means there is something very wrong with you, and if you like it, well...

No, but I'm not completely averse to it, I suppose. I think everyone has their fetishes, and honestly, I can kind of see mine working with pain.

Also, this thread has been fascinating to read. I love the internet. This is why we need to keep anonymity possible, guys. Not because trolling is an undeniable human right, but because of the times when anonymity affords us an opportunity to see humanity laid bare. Who knew so many people liked pain? Not me.

Scratching mossie bites till they bleed and infect is immensly satisfing for me. And if i get cuts i will try to get the most blood i can from the wound just coz it feels wierd when the blood tricles down slowly, it tickles but it makes me impatiant so i lick it up later.
To sum everything up i like to perform experiments on myself and others to see what happens.
Not emo, just curious...

I will occasionally cut the back of my hand with a very sharp blade, not too deep, just enough so that I can prise it apart slowly and watch some blood ooze out. It doesn't really hurt, it's just a minor sting, which feels quite good =)

I enjoy receiving horrific and crippling injuries because the road to recovery gives me constant waves of pheromones, which results in a euphoric relaxed state, and how much better one feels when healed.

When I get pissed at my computer, I hit it as hard as I can.

It feels pretty good after my hand stops throbbing :)

No! Because it fucking hurts! WHY would anyone ever even consider intentionally hurting themselves!?

Yes.

As long as you define riding up and down effing steep hills as self harm.
A cyclist? God, here I was thinking I was the only one...
That's good to see :)

Well, I harm my mental sanity a lot, (By doing things like... Well, reading this thread, for a start.) and I have caused myself pain by accident in verious... Experiments, but past that, no, not really. Not on purpose.

No. Hurting others for pleasure, on the other hand....

OT: I really don't think I could ever bring myself to self-harm. I'm too much of a wimp.
