For those who can remember the glory days of the NES, at that point, everyone I knew had thrown a controller at least once. They were indestructible, however. After games like Contra, TMNT, and the first (and by far most needlessly difficult) Castlevania, it was nigh impossible not to throw a controller. Great games that made for better gamers, but so painful achieving the skill level required to play, much less beat these games. At least on the Atari 2600, you could just walk away because they had no ending.
