The only reason I'm asking is because the sequel has been refused classification in the U.K. due to it being 'sexually violent and potentially obscene'. The full article on why its being banned can be found at this link.

I haven't seen the first one, but from what I've heard it sounds like a fairly rubbish horror film about a mad scientist/doctor sewing people together.

As far as discussion value goes, after reading the synopsis of the film, do you think films like this should be made? After reading it, I couldn't help but think 'Who would even want to watch a film like that, let alone make it?'

I watched it with some friends, and we lol'd a lot. Nothing extremely terrifying about it.

I've seen it, regrettably.

"but from what I've heard it sounds like a fairly rubbish horror film about a mad scientist/doctor sewing people together"

You've literally summed it up right there. It sucks big time, but has some kind of cult fan base die to it's outright absurdity.

So, Human Centipede is now a "video nasty", eh? Interesting. I did not know that England did that any more.

OT: No, I have never watched it, and never plan to. If I almost threw up reading the plot description on Wikipedia, why would I ever want to watch the movie?

No, and I don't wish to. At the risk of sounding like an arsehole, I think that anybody who pays to see these weird torture-porn films is at best mentally ill, but more likely a desensitized, perverted poseur. They are devoid of any artistic merit, and cater to a section of the psyche that should not be entertained.

Yeah I watched it and I really wished I didn't. Not because it was terrifying, but because it was terrible. I don't know why Dr. Heiter (the mad German doctor) wanted to sew people together, I kinda zoned out half way through. I do remember that it was once billed as 100% medically accurate, and my friends in med school (and one army medic) nearly had an aneurysm when they read that and watched the film. That was funny I must admit.

Thought about it, but then decided not to. I watched some trailers and stuff, but the turning point was when in a synopsis it says something along the lines of 'he observes with great pleasure when she is forced to swallow his faeces'. That was when I decided that the film probably wasn't for me.

No offense to anybody who could potentially be offended, but scat is just really not my style.

On a related note, I think the director was quoted as having said that in the sequel, viewers will be able to see all 'the blood and shit' that they weren't able to in the first one. I don't know if that means you will literally get to see the brown stuff, but either way, this is totally wrong. I'm glad it's being banned over here in good ol' conservative Britain.

I watched it on Net-Flix with my dad. I thought it was really stupid, but he sort of liked it, then again he always did like stupid horror movies like this.

Saw it, it sucked, however I saw a trailer for The human sexiped and despite being a porno it seemed to be a lot better then what it was based off.

Its got a reputation that makes it seem MUCH worse than it actually is.

There are far more horrific films out there. I personally think even a film like Dogtooth is much more horrific, however that won't be banned ever because it is "arty".

I'm not saying its a good film though >.>
