I could say I dislike skyrim for the ease with which a player can lose focus on the underlying storyline and spend 7 consecutive hours chasing rabbits, crafting armour and puzzling riddles on side missions, or it could be because on reflection the hyped up graphics turned out to be.....only on a par with most games out in the last year or two. Maybe it's the recurrence of poorly executed in game acting when cut scenes might have added a little more immersion. Alternatively I could praise COD for the attention to detail on weapons or the ability to keep me coming back for more after the 5 hour campaign, after getting to level 80 in the multiplayer and even now after 70 hours logged I still feel it is a pleasant pastime to waste an hour or two of my time on a weekend. This pales in comparison to the ungodly hours poured into FIFA over the past 8 years of my gaming life, with every new edition offering barely noticeable changes and ever evolving glitches including no referees, horrendous keeper mechanics and absolutely unrealistic gameplay.
No matter how much you hate on noobs for playing an fps on a console or wonder why geeks waste their time on Skyrim or sneer at idiots that think a console is for a sports/sim game, you are wrong. If you were right then they wouldn't be doing it. In fact nobody would have done it, ever.
