You realise that in your post you said 6 of them describe you, 2 of them atleast in part describe you and then you somehow end with a 0. Your post clearly states that your a 2 and maybe a 1 at a stretch.
It depends if he discounted the ones that are part of normal and healthy human behavior like having variable moods or having any degree of self doubt. Some of these are also things people in the West consider positive traits, so there's undoubtedly a fair amount of social desirability bias in this.

People are notoriously bad at describing their personalities, you get LESS lying if you ask people how attractive they are.

Seeing as you didn't actually say anything concrete I'm going to have to pick the least concrete option, 3. Right in the middle, not saying anything about me at all. Much like that piece of text.

My guess on his hypothesis is that this community wants to be different. So this statement that really includes everyones personality we will score lower on than other communities because we desire individuality more.

Am I close OP?

That describes me exactly! You must be some kind of telepathic gen-

Oh wait. I see what you did there.

Though I am highly amused that there are people who this incredibly vague statement apparently did not apply to at all.
I find it even more hilarious that some people felt it pegged them perfectly. Considering how vague and even contradictory it was, i'm not sure what that says about those people.

OT: I picked 3, because about half of it described me, and about half did not. It was vague and contradictory, as i stated above.

I have a feeling the result will be significantly less than the average, two reasons.

It's very obvious what's going on, and secondly people here seem to have an inherent wanting to buck the trend, an inner hipster you could say, very prominent in most minorities. I have a feeling people will vote lower just because they want to appear different to the average and ruin a well known experiment.

And I have a feeling that is exactly what you're expecting.

You know how Horoscopes are written in such a way to be both extremely vague and also sound very specific? So that when their very likely prediction comes true, you think they were worth a shit?
That paragraph is written in the exact same way.

You two should get into the Cold-Reading buisness... You're pretty close. I'll hopefully explain more when enough results come in for a proper analysis.

The majority of those do describe me but for when people say that they don't like me or think that I am <insert any jew/gay slur here>...

"At times you are extroverted, at other times introverted"
I can apply that logic to anything.

"Have you ever been angry at times, but calm in others?"

Hell, it's about as scientific as asking: "Have you ever felt hot and cold before, at separate times?"

Sorry, I don't see any need to answer a laundry list of vague generalities and non-traits.

I gave you a 4 out of 5. I understand the cold reading bit, and the vague generalities this represents and people unsufferable need to be different, but this is a matter of perception for me. I can be any one of those things at any given time, depending on the mood I'm in for that day. And I won't deny the striking similarities in emotional desires I share with the vast majority of the planet and I have no need to disagree with them on principle simply because I can see various sides of this experiment. I understand the science of psycology, and specifically how the results can be skewed by those that realize they are in an experiment.

I hope the results provide you relevant information.

It's about half right. Though I bet it half decribes half the people here.

Heh, cold reading.

I guess most people will know what's going on here, that good old "Screw you" effect will probably kick in and make most people vote lower than what they normally would just to ruin what would normally be a perfectly accurate experiment.

I assume you'd be aware of this fact, which probably means that's EXACTLY what you're looking for. You crafty devil.

Yeah you can say all you want about cold-reading and vague statements and whatever, but on a basic read and answer I went 5, because yeah, it's pretty much right.

I get that impression too, It looks like OP is looking to see how much we will be willing to say that statements that almost literally apply to everyone won't apply to them becasue they're so desperate to be different.

I wonder why we're like that?

You should have gone more specific at a risk of including less people, because that is complete transparent.

"You have a tendency to exhale air, but generally only after inhaling first. You often, perhaps daily, consume food, sometimes in the company of others, but sometimes you do so alone."

Anyway, 4, because I don't have doubts about having made the right decisions, I'm never extroverted, my aspirations are realistic, I hate change, AND I HAVE NO PERSONALITY WEAKNESS!

Fuckit, 2.

I've seen this before, so I didn't vote. I did this with my friends, and they thought that it was pretty accurate. But mainly the statements can be summarized as "You are either X or not X."
