Your complaining about an extension to the game?

Do you get indignant when offered a sequel to a good movie? Fable 2 was what it promised, and now it offers you more.

Why maul the hand that feeds you?
What I am saying is that it should have been in the game in the first place. It's not a true expansion. The creation of XLBA has allowed for a new breed of little half expansions. I think it's lame. If you call wanting my games to feel full and complete without having to buy a bunch of content for it "mauling the hands that feeds me" then yes. Call me Darth Maul.
It's not trying to be an expansion. Take Left 4 Dead for example, only four campaigns, but they're all roughly an hour long. Is anyone going to complain when Valve updates the game and adds more content like campaigns, weapons, etc? No.

I for one don't see the problem in developers adding content to games already released. Hell, i welcome it. And in this day and age, this sorta stuff happens all the time. But the fact that you have to pay for it really irks me. Developers are just abusing console owners. I remember when the new CoD4 maps came out, it was a huge buzz and consolers had to pay for it, what a huge letdown. A month later they came out on PC for free. I mean seriously, this is just highway robbery.

I really don't know what people are complaining about

DLC isn't new, at least as far as the XBL is concerned.

When did you start playing the 360?

is Fable 2 your first game?

Just be thankful it IS an actual content patch, and not Horse Armor for 4 bucks.

You know, this is BS in all honesty. I feel as though many developers feel like they can release games which aren't done yet because they can bank a lot more money by releasing the rest of it in a piecemeal downloadable form.
X3: Reunion.

EGOSOFT, the development company behind it, was forced into releasing an unfinished game in order to hit the publisher deadline. Like most of these cases there was a patch out fixing the major issues within the first week (actually, on release day). We didn't get a finished game from them until a good year and a half after it hit the shops.

Bigger development companies have more leeway and the really big developers publish their own games. But those in the former catagory still have the issue of running out of time to include everything.

You do know most of these little DLC packs were things they worked on after the game was done right? Very few are just replacing what didn't make the final cut. Not denying it happens but give the developers a little extra credit ok?
