I never played Fable 2, but my friend has, and he said it was more or less the same game. True, you have a dog, you can be a girl, and you can get aids, but besides that it doesn't seem like a good game to me.

Note again, that this is coming from someone who has never played Fable 2. I have the first one and I do enjoy it, but it isn't something I would buy again.

Peter Molyneux said that the first Fable was going to be great. He said that there was going to be so much more in the game than there actually was. He said the same thing for Fable 2, and he failed yet again. I wonder if he is ever really going to get to the point that he says he will. I'm guessing it might be like that situation where you start at one end of a room to get to the other and you can only walk half the distance of the step taken before. You will progress forward each time, but will never get to the end.

It depends. It would have to be amazing otherwise no they shouldn't make part 3.

I don't believe so.
I've never played Fable 1 but I was practically amped for Fable 2 until I really played it.
None of the characters were likable. I couldn't relate to any of them and after my first wife literally everyone in the town was mad in love with me and half of those people were asking for a wedding ring though I was already married.

Before the creator makes a third game I think he should learn how to make a working, unique universe with interesting characters first. And no motions done toward your wife that someone next to her will see and immediately fall in love with you too. It just wasn't believable.

Yes, if nothing else, to see what the hell Thereasa's up too. And if they fix all the craptastic faults with Fable 2. No jobs. Smarter people. Kill anyone. More Fable-y.

And if they follow the trend I think only I can see, Fable 3 would be somewhere near modern day or the close future. Laser-pistols, anyone?
Start calling it England? Go to that Samarkand place?

I'd be fine, as long as they wrapped up this plot and started a new one. a good one.

No. I would recommend a remake of the first Fable, but then I remember that one of the things which drew me into the game was how imperfect it was.

What they should do is re-release the first Fable in its original form, and, as a reward for beating the game (maxed experience and all), allow you to edit the game. That would boost its longevity by a long way.

fable 2 was pretty god but I was dissapointed at the end when the bad guy was talking in the ring at the tower I pressed the fire button by mistake and ended up killing him halfway through his speech.

How about black and white 3 instead?
That. Very much that.

But yeah, Fable III doesn't sound bad. I'm among the demographic that enjoyed Fable and Fable II, despite their flaws and Molyneux's constant gob flapping.

I can't make up my mind about fable 2. I mean, I think I enjoyed it, but gosh the replayability in that game is zilch, as it gts very very tedious after your first promotion...

Not unless they can make it significantly better than the previous games. Fable 2 was a mess, I had such high hopes but to be honest it was awful. I am still unable to finish the last mission because my wife has disappeared. There's also a guy in my town who has a chair lodged in his torso at all times.

The bugs in Fable 2 were so bad that I'm amazed it passed certification. The graphics were also hideous, the water was atrocious. The loading was also terrible, I mean having to go to a black screen to transition from the bottom of a ladder to the top, in 3D engine terms that lags behind the original Play Station.

If they can sort Fable out so it's open world and much more epic then go for it. if they think they can just rehash the original again then leave it.

Depends on what it's going to be about. I liked Fable II enough, so I guess I'm a bit interested.

Speaking of which, make the people less horny! If you don't come home for sex the people leave you and take your kids. In real life going home after decapitating zombies to have sex with your wife is fucking epic, in a video game it's just as annoying.

Fable is my heroin.

Like, If I become a junkie, and I have $100, and we're talking serious "Out of my fucking mind desperate" junkie, I'll spend a week going through withdrawal just so I can enjoy more Fable.

Even if Fable 2 did let me down in several areas at it's core it was still an enjoyable game, So any sequel would rationally be an improvement...
Right?

On a serious note, I'm still psyched for Fable 3 (as it's been announced that it's pretty much happening)
As I have been psyched for the two previous installments.

My only hope is at the end of Fable 3 we have some conflict resolution in the form of an Epic boss battle, because in my view, it needs to kinda pick up the slack that Fable 2 left behind.
