FaceBook. I hate MySpace... FaceBook is organized and easy to use and most of my friends use it. I was going to post the reasons why I didn't like MySpace but I removed them in fear of suspension...
Facebook and I use it JUST as a message board and if I get spammed by any other purpose I immediatley block it as I'll have no part in it. Facebook has helped me keep a lot of old friends... although right now I cannot access my account for some unknowable reason.
I used Facebook back when it was merely a group site for College students to post photos, and not the social networking site we know today. It's evolved quite a bit.
I had a MySpace for years, and then got a Facebook, and I prefer the Facebook much more. I never was a fan of all the customization, I just wanted the chat and stuff, which Facebook is better for.
Neither, since social networking sites are inane and boring.
I have both, never really use either. I talk to all of my friends in person or on MSN/XBL, so it's unnecessary. A bunch of people I used to know (barely) from school/college added me, as did family members, both of which I have no interest in.
Indeed that also brings to mind the fact that they assume you actually have friends.
Rather than 100's of acquaintances that will add you if you add them so you all look like you are incredibly popular...
well that's enough for me right now, I better go lock myself back in the basement before someone sees me...
Facebook because its what most of my friends use, so its easy to see upcoming birthdays and events.
Mostly use it so people can contact me easily and organise things over a period of time. Instead of just weekend things that get planned in about an hour of everyone ringing everyone saying "Bring beer to Xs house at Y time and then well hit town to do Z." That formula works for weekends but not for road trips very well.
I switched to Facebook about a year ago because I became tired of recieving the endless spam on Myspace. The privacy features in Facebook are also a huge selling point for me. I guess it's a 6 & 1 type of argument though...
Facebook simply because people couldn't edit their profile's html and create horrible webpages. Plus when I got an account only college students were allowed in so it made me feel special.
Also because that's what my friends use and FB looks more professional.
