Just wondering on the your opinions because the next Fallout game was coming out and I have recentley started playing the originals again. Feel free to add why you like the one you picked too. I like Fallout 2 more because its alot funnier and theres a lot more things to experience

Fallout 2 does seem like there is loads more to experience... but I'm still soldiering my way through 1.

I bought a bumper pack of all 3 after I absolutely loved Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 because I'm too young to have experienced 1 or 2. And I like shooting things.

I've never played Tactics, but I liked Fallout 2 more.

It had a lot more things to do, more companions to get, and you could get a car!
There were a lot more items in Fallout 2 as well. A lot of new guns, new armor, etc.

Sadly, I can't play Fallout 1 or 2 anymore. They keep crashing after 10 minutes of me playing them...

At first I liked 2, then after playing one I liked 1 more.

Why? Because after playing 1 I realized how absolutely silly 2 was. Still like both.

And for anyone who wants to play them, they're on Good Old Games for $6.00 USD each. Totally worth it.

Fallout 1. Fallout 1 had the best story, Fallout 2 had the better gameplay, but it was just kind of goofy.

Why no 3 is what I voted though, seeing as it is my favorite game in the series.

I played Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics after I played 3. I loved 1 & 2. Tactics's gameplay didn't really do much for me. Out of all of them, Fallout 2 is my favorite because there was alot more to do then 1, and I guess the silliness worked well for me.

never played 1 & 2 (yeah, yeah... i know), but shouldn't you play the first game first ... or isn't anything in the story related?

2 is more or less 1 but moar. I can understand why F3 isn't on the list as it is a completely different game (FPS vs top-down). Tactics was fun, but only as a novelty thing. Fallout 2 is what I have spent the most time on. There is more things to do in Fallout 2 than Fallout 3 I think. It can take you a few minutes to clear a room in F2, but you can do the same in F3 in a few seconds.

You are not missing a thing.
Other than a completely superior gaming experience.

But I suppose opinions are opinions.

You shoot things in fallout 1 and 2 too...bonus of actually having a good story and gameplay.

Fallout 2, because number 1 was amazing but was really short. Fallout 2 keeps the same gameplay but adds a bigger open world, oh and no time limit either.

Definitely Fallout 2. The setting was a lot more interesting in that one and it seemed like there was at least twice as many sidequests in it. Not to mention the possible shotgun gay wedding... can't beat that.

Fallout 2, for the reasons already described: more stuff, more sidequests, more companions, etc.

Brotherhood of Steel is my #2
:p
