Poll: Fallout 3: TPS or FPS mode?

FPS all the way, has anyone even looked at the running animations in TPS mode? They're horrible. Totally destroys any kind of RP moment you might have. If you straff in a diagonal line, the animations of running in a straight line stay. Awfull really.

I always play it in FPS mode - I just think it looks & plays better and I'm not a huge fan of TPS in general, there are some games that are great when played from a TPS view (i.e Splinter Cell), it's just that in my opinion, Fallout 3 plays a lot better from a first person view.

Also I thought that the game is/was supposed to be played in an FPS view - I'm sure i read that somewhere. So following on with that I also thought that the developers just put in the TPS view for the original Fallout players to have a quick muck about with.

FPS. it's a lot more efficient when in the middle of a shoot-out, a little less useful when in close quarters. I only ever use third person when i'm looking for a bit of vanity-mode.

Always first Person, as stated before, there is just a bizarre animation to your character in 3'rd person.

I agree with you. I prefer watching my character from third person, because it just feels better. I like being able to see the character I spent a while creating.

Firs person mode. I'll mess around in third person here and there and to view new armor, but that is about it.

The character animations are beyond disgusting, so FPS is the only way to go.

Always first person. Always. Sometimes I'll switch to make sure Dogmeat is still following me, but I hate third person view with a passion.

i dont know anyone that actually plays the whole game in TPS... cant see anything and it looks bad

FPS is the way to go

First person, third person makes your character look very out of place for some reason... its like its not really there

I'm frequently a FPS guy, though I switch to TPS when I want to admire how badass my guy is.

There is no other reason to be in third person on Fallout.
