Poll: Fallout 3: What you think about it?

Sorry if this was already done but I liked Fallout 3 because it was good but I was dissapointed when I finished it in 2 days and the quests in 4 more days.....then finished the DLC (operation Anchorage) it was too short like the whole game......honestly im waiting for the new Elder Scrolls or Fallout: New Vages (the new one....to make up for Fallout 3......but it was a good game why...
because

1. Good combat (in the head with a power glove lol)
2. VATS (Wish their was a nut shot)
3. Good story (short though)
4. Drama yeh
5. Can get creepy but not horror

I really enjoyed it. A lot of the quests were pretty fun but the best part was just exploring the Wasteland.

When I first played Fallout 3 it felt too much like Oblivion to me, but I am going to give it another try soon.

i loved it, but the main quest line was way to short for me, but barring that, there is so much to do, and you can explore at your leisure.

I thought that Falllout 3 was great. Exploring the Wasteland and finding secret areas and quests adds a lot of playtime to the game.

I loved it! All the places and just the setting was amazing! Plus all these make-shift weapons and mutated creatures made it that much more realistic and addicting!

You... 'finished' Fallout 3 in two days...

So, let me get this straight. In two days you did all of the following:
* Completed the main storyline.
* Completed the secondary storylines.
* Completed the tertiary storylines.
* Found all the locations.
* Explored all the locations.
* Made all the custom weapon.
* Obtained all the unique weapons (discounting ones that are either/or quest results).
* Obtained all the unique Feats (same proviso as above).

Bloody hell, how did you do all that!? Did you have four machines running at once and not eat, sleep or go for a shit for two days!?


This is what pissed me off about LittleBigPlanet, and it pisses me off about Fallout - the main storyline to Fallout is bugger-all of the game. Seriously, I can believe you'd storm through the main quest in two days, because if I wanted to I could sit down tonight and go all the way to the end credits in one sitting. No problem.

However, to be so bloody stupid as to believe that is even half of the game beggars belief! You need at least three characters to access everything! I'll put a shitload of money on you not having the Miss Launcher, or the Experimental MIRV. Hell, I bet you never even found the Roach King!

Meanwhile, I enjoy FO3. Being honest, I tried it purely as a short range character with swords/fists and more originally, but I didn't find it anywhere near as fun as I do currently with the run and gun technique. Metal Blaster is fucking awesome as an energy rifle.

It sure was fun to see the Wasteland in 3D, though the game itself felt like an "Oblivion" mod... For me, it was the same as with other Bethesda games - there just was something that put me off. I think it was the characters which behaved like a bunch of badly-constructed androids. And while humour in previous "Fallout" games was genuinely funny, this time it felt like the devs thought "Well, it's a Fallout game, gotta shoehorn some wackiness into it".

I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just wasn't my kind of game... F1 and F2 were.

Fallout fanboy here. It probably goes without saying, but I hated Fallout 3. Even if it didn't use the fallout name, I'd still dislike it because it was way too similar to Oblivion and I hate that because Morrowind was vastly superior.

Oh, by the way, OP, they have all of the things you mentioned in the original games, including crotch shots. If you haven't played them... go and play them!

I thought Fallout 3 was great, and kept it going with the different karma trophies/ achievements.
In all honesty, I do find it a little hard to still find it fun, but it's holding up well considering I've had it about 4 months.

It was good but the combat sucked. The FPS bit was just VATS in real time, where you had to aim as well as have some luck..(even if you are aimed at someone's head the VATS percentages still count..)

Loved it, and I'm currently waiting for the last DLC to be released so that I can buy all 3 in a boxed set.
