I chose Fallout 4. I'm a bit sick of the mid-evil fantasy genre, I liked the guild quests in Oblivion but the rest just became repetitive and boring. The only real issue I have with fallout was that you spend a good chunk of the time alone wandering through the same abandoned railway tunnels and general crap holes. I really enjoyed the game when I was interacting with different areas and characters.

This. I'm not really a big lover of post-apocalyptic games. I much prefer swinging swords to slinging guns, annd I think the Elder Scrolls series is utterly fantastic.
I reckon ESV should one where you can go between provinces. Like Daggerfall, as far as I'm aware (sadly, I've never played it). All those different guilds in the different provinces, the gameplay and roleplay options... Oblivion alone has absorbed my soul. I've finished that numerous times in so many different ways, and even now I'm finding new stuff I hadn't discovered before. And mods are such wonderful inventions.

Also, Kvatch <3 Seeing that a few years in the future after being fully rebuilt for a second time would be great.

I'm curious to know just how Sheogorath would be incorporated into the new game, considering
the PC takes the mantle of Sheogorath after the Greymarch, where Lord Sheo disappears.

A sequel to Morrowind.

To replace the abysmal shite that was Oblivion.

Maybe on the Sommerset isle? And with the skills still in, not like Oblivion where half of them were ripped out.

Its not even a debate, Elder Scrolls V has been whats got my mouth foaming for years. We know they are basicly working on ESV anyway, but honestly id be a bit disapointed if they in a change of fate started working on Fallout. I love Fallout dont get me wrong, but Oblivion is my favorite game of all time. No other game has ever made me sink so much time into it. I know nearly every quest, ive got every piece of DLC, and I put up with the many bugs on the XBOX for it. It is a one of a kind game not matched by anything else. I mean, and open ended, action heavy, western, medieval, fantasy, RPG that features so much diversity and amazing lore, has easily launched it to the top of my list. Morrowind is up there and it may be controversal, but I dont think it can hold a candle to Oblivion. I personally found things to get too repetative, and when things got pretty sweet on my PC version of it, it would usually crash all the time. Fallout 4 will come after ESV, and I wouldnt have it any other way. I know the big 5 will have me sinking thousands of hours into it.

EDIT: and im sure taking what they've learned from all there past games, what worked and what didnt, will make ESV truely a masterpiece.

First of all, WTF thread necro?

Second, my vote goes to a new Elder Scrolls, BUT only if they finally change the combat system. It's been the same crap since Daggerfall, and it sucked even then. Also, if they hire some decent writers, get an engine that's capable of making humans less hideous than in Oblivion and move the whole thing to a more interesting setting.

P.S. Oblivion sucked.

Is this even a question?

Clearly, the answer to the question, if there even is an inquiry to begin with, is TES V.

Fallout 3: excellent game, got perhaps 100+ hours of playtime out of it.

Oblivion: slightly more excellent game and more engrossing atmosphere, between Oblivion and Morrowind I probably logged 700 hours of play time.

Verdict: With NV so recently released, it's time for TES V, Bethesda. I love you, Bethesda, I really do, but you've been putting off TES V like it's an obligatory visit to your in-laws. I love you, Bethesda, and I'm pretty sure you love me, so lets not play this "well, maybe it's Oblivion 2" small-talk games anymore, I want a COMMITMENT in this relationship, damnit!

If they get rid of level scaling in TES V then I'll go with that, otherwise Fallout 4 for me.
I personally liked the level scaling. It kept things challenging. Now they need to improve it, have more variety in enemies, dont have some that are damage sponges throughout the game that only get more annoying, and make the higher level stuff tougher to get, seeing every bandit and maurader hugging around the "extreamly" rare glass, daedric, and Dwarven armour and weapons was a little rediculous. I think they should keep level scaling in, but tweak it a bit, almost make it less prominent. That way the base of the game remains the same, the ability to go anywhere at any time, but find a way to make certain places really challenging regardless of level and put some of the best loot there. Im sure they'll think of somthing. That bullshit in New Vegas where they entirely dropped the pretense of going anywhere by putting monsters that you literally could not survive on lower levels in places they dont want you to go yet was rediculous, and dont get me started about the invisable walls. Fuck Obsidian haha

I'm extremely biased against "generic fantasy world #310,258" games, so I say Fallout. Not that I'd be angry if they made another Elder Scrolls game, I just wouldn't play it. I tried Morrowind... got bored a few hours in, never went back. Tried Oblivion, same result. The only fantasy game that has held my attention long enough for me to finish it recently was Dragon Age... and once I completed the story, my interest in it was gone.
