Id play any Fallout game no-matter where it's set, but I read somewhere that The UK was supposed to have sunk below the ocean/the ocean rised above it.

Maybe. It might work as the continuation to the previous two Fallouts. Who knows, perhaps people would then forget that wrongly named FPS that blatantly stole the name but was not otherwise part of the series. You know what I'm talking about, that generic open-world second-rate FPS with bullet-time that had the words Fallout and the number 3 on the casing.

Can you believe that people actually mistook it as a Fallout game? As in, a spiritual successor to the previous two. It was like that fiasco of FO:Tactics and FO: Brotherhood of Steel all over again.

In all seriousness, London might prove an interesting place, thought by necessity most of the backsory has focused on former USA. Not a big problem, but someone would have to think about the story-element connections for a few days. Most antagonists would have to be carefully applied as well: Enclave and BoS, along with their splinter groups, are almost exclusively northern american. Radscorpions... well, I doubt London area had too many scorpions before the nuking began, Supermutants are a possibility.

But... say, a Master v2.0 as main antagonist behind the scenes, 'royalists' who have read of something undeniably powerful called the 'Queen' and 'Her Majesty' from ancient, pre-war books...

What the hell are you all talking about? Fallout 3 was amazing! Instead of hating on it list what you liked about Fallout 1 and 2 that they didn't include and suggest it to Bethesda. Next, why the hell does Fallout have to happen in America? The UK had a similar but stil different period of cold war fears, cheery advertisements, hip music and soft drinks, and I'd like to see that be shown in the Fallout universe.

This is a fucking awesome idea, and it should be made. Hellgate: London was shit, and we all know that. That doesn't mean a Fallout game in London wouldn't be great! Think of how many incredibly shitty games take place in America, and then post the same empty opinion.

You'll never see a Fallout game set outside of Amercia for the game reason you'll never see another Grand Theft Auto game set outside of America. The game's setting is too much about throwing rocks at America. You set it in say, England, and suddenly people realize, 'hey wait a second, this is kind of insulting to our culture!" And while insulting American culture is cool and all, other nations don't take very kindly to it.

I would buy it if they made it.

But as I have said before, Fallout: Japan. A lot of people know my reasons for such.
[small]Don't make me get the picture of Japanese Power Armor..[/small]

Also, I want to take down Nazi zeppelins with the Tesla Cannon.. Maybe have them return from their hidey holes to fight the Enclave...

lol, i find it funny you rez this thread, and then ask what the hell people ae talking about :p

I agree about how it should be made (though this is mostly for the britain not having guns, thus it being more like condemned combat in the fallout universe.. *drool*).. any new fallout gets a thumbs up from me... but lets just wait and see how vegas turns out..

I think it would be great for all the OP said, and more.

Never happen though. Yanks dont like stuff that is not either set in America or about Americans.

I'd buy that.

I think the next logical step would be to see the other side of the curtain, and view the aftermath in China.

What about Fallout: Australia?

Lets face it, half of the Fallout mythos is based around Mad Max, and the chance to play as the Road Warrior himself would be worth a pretty penny, right?

Ok, ok, ok.

I was making a bit of a generalization. The core of the point is true though. The truth is that America, for better or worse, is the biggest consumer in the world. The truth also is that they prefer to watch/buy, games/flims/tv with America, or Americans as the loacation, or the hero.

Thus, companys who want to be successfully, must bow down to their taste, if they wanna get the biggest market in the world on side.

So, Fallout: London will never be made.

who is to say that london, or any other place is effected.

in game mythos claims China and US nuke each other.

EU, Russia, Africa, Australia... all largely untouched by disaster.

the lack of natural resource, as that is what spawned the US/China conflict could be reason enough as to why they have not bothered to come take a look see at the irradiated waste land that once was the US.

sounds good to me, i didn't mind fallout 3 but it didn't impress me that much. london would appeal to me more, mainly because i'm british. washington has no meaning to me because i've never been there and don't have the same kind of positive feelings towards it as america.
but i've been saying the same thing about a new GTA in london and it'll never happen. oh well england!

As soon as i seen the title of this thread i though of 28 days later. But really, does it alway have to be London? Yes, GTA did a good job, the Getaway.. not so much. But there are other cities and towns in the UK that would be worthy of a game. Newcastle, Middlesbourgh, newport, manchester, blackpool.. even Devon! Each of thse places are diffrent and each can be worthy of a Zombie/post-apocolypse scenario due to their structures (Imagine zombie/mutant/thug killing in Blackpool Pleasure beach .. phwoar! <3)
you sir, have an amazing gif, i love it

very true, uk has some very amazing cities BESIDES london, although if they did a london add on like anchorage or something that'd be cool

The intro's of the originals make it pretty clear that the whole world nuked each other.
