I'm just over 20 hours in to my game on the 360 version and although I've run into a few minor glitches that sorted themselves out and two bloody irritating ones that required reloads/reboots (one time all terminals and consoles in the game wouldn't display their contents and the other time my character wouldn't holster his current weapon and would automatically fire off a round or two upon entering a new area) I've never come across corrupted save files. Thankfully.
Yes, there are bug issues, but I don't think they're as big an issue as some people are making them out to be (either that or my version of the game likes me) because in truth 20+ hours of gameplay and only five or six glitches is fairly good (well, better than Fallout 3 at any rate) for a game people are saying is 'unplayably buggy'.
Ah, fair do's. I've only got experience with the 360 version, maybe it's worse on other platforms. I feel for people who (for whatever reason) aren't online to receive Bethesda's patches though. That's gotta sting.
About 8 hours in on a battered old 360. Aside from one freeze-up, and an odd propensity for my arms and gun not to crouch down with me when I sneak, I haven't had any serious problems. But I haven't got to the bit with the spacesuit yet, so who knows.
Oh, and also the game-crashing bug is usually caused whilst doing the mission entitiled "Come fly with me" where you have to remove a bunch of ghouls from a rocket factory. It is not the mission itself which corrupts the save file, but an object you can obtain during the mission which the glitch is widely attributed too, although this is uncomfirmed. Basically, don't pick up the SPACE-SUIT or SPACESUIT-HELMET whilst doing this mission and the glitch should not happen, although as I say, this is uncomfirmed.
20 hours in, currently on my third character due to the game eating my saves. 360, by the way.
Apart from that, no major issues. It's froze once and there's been the usual bugs that were present in F3 (Items float when you pick one up nearby, Radscorps falling through the floor etc etc) but apart from that, it's been superb so far for me.
I pre ordered new vegas about 3 or 4 months ago, per loaded it on steam before launch, then when it came out, it was rendered unplayable, i can't look at npc's without a TREMENDOUS amount of lag. I hope they fucking fix it.
Do you have a special edition or something that I don't know about? Otherwise, you've made me much more reluctant to buy it when it's on offer. I was beginning to think that the PC version was relatively bug-free.
I been playing FNV since the day it was released, I dislike the fact that the frame rates are much slower than F3, there are a few noticeable bugs but nothing critical (bugs stuck in rocks, enemy's dying and falling below the ground)
I think steam is a serious annoyance, particularly when im itching to play the game and it takes 20 minutes to do some updates
Attach the 10mm Pistol Silencer to the Weathered 10mm Pistol to get a bug. Buy a playing card that you already have (i.e 8 of Clubs - Lucky 38) to crash the game. My XBox crashed four times while trying to cross Hoover Dam. Cass dropped dead as I went through a door for no apparent reason (on Hardcore, so she's actually dead). Arms don't necessarily follow when crouched in first-person view. Massive slowdowns in VATS during long play sessions...
Edit: Had 1 live enemy and 1 corpse fly into the skybox. Maybe half a dozen scorpions stuck in the ground, and a Cazzador stuck in a rock.
Well, I just ran into MY first game breaking bug, its actually preventing me from continuing the plot of the game.
I just finished Volare! and was heading back to New Vegas to inform the NCR, every time I attempt to load into New Vegas, black screen freeze, corrupt auto-save.
I'm now stuck until a patch comes out, might try a few "xbox fixes" like cache clearing, but I don't expect them to work.
Only took 34 hours to get a game breaking bug, had a few minor bugs along the way, but nothing that prevented me from actually PLAYING.
-Edit-
After some looking around at the New Vegas Wiki, I've found the answer to my game breaking bug.
"In the Debt Collector quest, if you kill Caleb McCaffery, there will be a blackscreen crash every time you try to load The Strip and the autosave will become corrupted. The only known way around this is to equip an Old Cowboy Hat whenever you try to load The Strip."
I've played roughly 20 hours on a patched and lightly modded PC version. It's only crashed twice and had a weird brightness glitch once. So far, so good.

360 version - Loaaaaaaaads of graphical glitches - few floating bits of scenery, every damn radscorpion is tunnelling through the ground, and my arms keep disappearing/appearing or falling down from the top of the screen. This also seems to affect where the pip-boy is placed on the screen. Instead of being centred, it can be halfway off the screen up or down. Fortunately that's the only really irritating bug so far.
I'm disappointed the NPC AI is still pants-on-head fucking dumb though, it's rather immersion spoiling watching stuff like an NCR soldier walk repeatedly into a wall like a broken robot.
