anyone else annoyed about steam? i preordered fallout on steam and everywhere it said the release date is the 19th and it even was saying that the game will unlock in 4 hours. 4 hours later its now saying that it will unlock in a few days.

why do they have to follow street dates on a online digital copy of a game?
That is a shame. You would think digital distribution would have one flat date. EU is the 22nd, US is about 11hrs from now.

I imagine this will change in the coming years since digital download is really popular.
Funnily enough i thought we were already there with the whole one release date online thing. it just seems so out of place to me with the popularity of digital distribution and the whole pirating issue. why would you release a game in one region and then in a nother a few days later.

PS3.
Don't judge me.
Ditto. I have a pretty good PC, but I thought FO3 worked well enough on PS3. Plus I pre-ordered before I got my new PC. :p
I'm pretty excited about friday. :)

PC, the one and only.
PS3 held FO3 back for me.

The modding community is even more incentive, hopefully it's better then Dragon Age's (Not holding my breath).

I'm gonna play it the way I play Bethesda games since Daggerfall, on a PC. Exclusive DLC my ass, we all know how the PS3 community whined at first and then got their GOTY, as broken as it may have been.
Also, mods are gonna improve the game, as with Morrowind, Oblivion and FO3.

360. I need to be sitting or laying down nice and comfortably playing it on a massive HD TV. I can't sit in a computer chair that long anymore. I just love kicking back and relaxing.
Just to let you know, most likely you can use a wired xbox controller to play on the PC, so you can lie down and play, while still getting all the amazing mods

It's official. I'm going to be taking a risk and playing this game. Oooh. I have that tingly risk-taker feeling. Maybe I'll try raw oysters today. Anyway, I'm gonna go all out and play the game on hardcore as a melee character (maybe unarmed, as that's my favorite way to play Oblivion and it seems a great way to balance ammo weight. It'll also mean that any guns and ammo I do find will be instant cash).

PC the mods are damn good and I only got the game for 49.99 $ in Australia :D Its the best version. The experience for PC is so much better.

The modders will make it into a great game just like they did to fallout 3.
Wow. That's a steal for Australia right? Kudos.

PS3, I haven't had any problems with fallout 3 so it makes sense for me to play it up on the big screen, not on my dinky laptop.

For some reason I don't even care about New Vegas. But if I manage to get in the hype somehow I'll get it for PC.

I wonder if the PS3 version this time will also have issues? While I own both consoles, I'll play it safe with the 360 version despite little GB left at this moment.

I'm going to get the 360 version for now.

In a year or so, once the Mod community has made some cool stuff to partake in, I'll probably pick up a PC version on STEAM or something (provided that the game is, you know, good).

PC, because of MODS.
Fallout 3 lasted a long time for me because I could make / download new content any time I wanted to.

xbox 360, my computer isnt up to the specifications to run it
my computer lags on half life 1, and yet, i bought it on steam, so tat some day, in the FAR FAR off future, i can play it. plus, i compared the prices on steam and at EB games ( only videogame store near me) and the prices are as follows:
Steam for pc-66 NZ
From EB for pc- 105 NZ
From eb for PS3 and Xbox- 135NZ
not really a tough decision
ebay bro, i just got halo reach for $35 USD compared to $65 at Gamestop brand new still in the wrapper
