The problem is I don't know. I was hoping The Escapist community could help me out here.

360
Social (talking to others while playing)
Doesn't take up space on my computer
Achievements

PC
Much more control (noclip for when I get stuck)
Mods

Although I may be drawn more to cheating while playing through the first time (console)and that could ruin the story by way of my own wrongdoings

So Escapians, what should I get it on?

PC. Can't go wrong with the mods. Actually, you can, but CTDs are often an incredibly excuse to stop playing for the evening so it works out anyhow.

PS3 for large TV and trophies and playing from my bed or couch. Also I don't know crap about PC gaming. Stuff like, "why can't my brand new $900 laptop run FFXIV?" and "who in their right mind would wear so many hats on a single head?"

Lessee... My computer can handle the specs, I have a reaaaaaaally comfy computer chair, a 32" monitor and I don't own a current gen console (and my tv is shit).

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with the PC version.

360; because my PC is a piece of shit and prefer to play games on my massive Plasma screen, sitting on the couch with a beer and a wireless controller.
wait, you have a plasma TV yet a shitty PC and even more so a Xbox360? o_O

that doesn't make much sense however you could always splash a little money for a better PC and a wireless 360 controller so that you could hook-it up to the Plasma TV.

Short answer, I've got young kids and can't afford to keep upgrading my PC. If I did and the wife found out I'd be wearing that TV.
The 360's cool though because I've had it for ages, so she's ok with that ;-)

PS3. For the trophies.

Must...Increase...Trophy...Level...

My gamerscore is 90k. I want a trophy level of 20 by this time next year.
You've been moving up quickly.
You're now 4th on my friends list (I'm second on my own list).
I tend to push for higher level trophies (silver - gold) and while they can give you a good bump, a zerg rush of bronze level trophies can be quite effective.

[sub]I can't believe I'm actually paying attention to trophies...[/sub]

OP: PS3. But I may now have to wait until Christmas...
Yeah. I still don't even have a single Plat yet, either. Ratchet and Clank will fix that...Just do Hard mode, then Challenge mode. Then I'm done. No annoying collectible hunting required. Well, it is required. It's just not a hassle after you get the game's version of the Map-O-Matic.

I would play it on PC, but I have learned off fallout 3 and oblivion that the temptation to cheat is too strong, and I'll end up cheating and ruining the experience...

So PS3 for me!

PC because of the mods and I just prefer playing First Person games with a keyboard and mouse.
But I will be pissed if it uses Games for Windows. (Not so pissed that I won't use PC, but still pissed)

I've got the 360 version on pre-order ready for the UK release date of the 22nd. Already got my play-through strategy sorted out too: Realism mode on, first character as a good guy, second character as an utter bastard.

Roll on Friday!

PC, because I simply don't own a console. Besides, I think it's the way it's meant to be played. Haha.

Ah but what do you stabilise the mouse and keyboard on? ;-)
Well, while sitting on my comfy couch, the keyboard on my lap and the mouse beside me on my mousepad :D

Trust me, it's as comfortable as with a controller, maybe even more ;D

The only downside would be, I can't play it while lying on the couch... but well, that's something I can live with^^

PS3...I play anything that's dual consoles, and buy the big games for my PS3...free online is nice, and I spent more on it, so I get more use out of it.

I'm kinda sad they're giving the x360 the first DLC...they already got Dead Rising 2's DLC first, right? Eh, my guess is MS paid to get it first and it'll do only so well, then the PS3 will get it later and end up making more since the didn't shell out extra cash to get it first. I doubt many people would buy a 2nd copy of the game just to get the DLC first :p

360. If the DLC comes out first on the PS3, I think my blood will boil. I bought Fallout 3 for PS3 2 years ago and waited around for a couple months when the DLC started dropping before deciding to buy the damn game again on the 360.

Stupid exclusives.
