I'm the first to say Halfling!
Halflings get shit done. They can be mischievous when they want, are nimble little buggers, and can be the best damn assassins one could ever wish for. They can be the perfect Ninja. Plus they very fun to play in D&D when you do things like making climb check to climb somebody's back to slit their throat.

i think orcs are purdy cool.
one question though, if you are playing a FANTASY game, why be a human. if you're already human then why is this a fantasy.

Couldn't you make a Jump check for that? Not to say Climb doesn't work as well, but if you've got more skill ranks in Jump and/or Tumble, it might be a better choice. Plus the idea of a flying Halfling doing a 'slice by' is hilarious.Gaderael said:

Iv'e always wanted to play something really horrific and violent, even the darker races in the games I play tend to have a cleaned up feel to them.
(Orcs / Goblins need to be on the list ._.)
Humans. I've been called boring for liking humans in any Fantasy setting (Be it WoW, Warhammer, LotR, etc.)
I like them because they're easier to identify with, they often have their backs against a corner (I.e, they're usually the race who happens to be in a "We're so f***ed" position), and in fantasy I can forgive them for having humanity's flaws, since the opponents they face would scare any real person to death, and it's then understandable they might go insane and slay their neighbour or whatever.

(Fuck you, plumed helmets are awesome, no matter how impractical it is!)
I also have a friend who loves Dwarfs to the point of it bordering to the erotic, so I'm not that fond of them, for instance.. >_>

Dwarves are so awesome. They live in massive stone cities in mountains, they have scottish accents and have tons of bling to show off. There's just no competition.

Im not really against any race, unless their lore makes them out to be annoying, bitchy, and unlikeable, i.e. LotR elves and etc.
