Poll: Fast Zombies vs. Slow Zombies

I prefer slow zombies but either one works. Left 4 Dead probably wouldn't have the same paced action if all the hordes shuffled.

For the longest time I thought that the only good zombie was a slow zombie, but I recently got L4D2 and this changed my opinions. Now I think that fast and slow zombies are both acceptable, as long as the slow zombie can only be killed by a headshot and a fast zombie can be killed any way a normal human can be killed.

I went with fast but not because I prefer them but because I feel in a real zombie apocalypse they are far more likely to occur. Let me explain, in older zombie movies zombies were the dead coming back to life which due to decay made them slower, while in more recent zombie movies I feel that zombie more represent a person who is infected with a virus so they keep most of their human traits like running.

So my vote went to fast zombies as I think a virus infecting people is more likely to occur than the walking dead. Also what I said is a ruff opinion about zombie movies if they're fast or slow depends on the writer.

i would hate fast zombies because then the world would be totally screwed. zombies are mindless and feel no pain. set that in to slow zombies and they continue to be a weak threat. set that into fast zombies and you have athletes that never tire.
it goes something close to: fast zombies are fun in games, but in real life i'd prefer the slow zombies.

Fast zombies are scarier IMHO because I wouldn't last an hour during THAT apocalypse! I'd at least survive a day or two in the slow zombie one.

i think fast ones are always cooler for games and slow for real life because that way you stand a chance, but it varies in movies. In movies, fast ones are usually in gory slasher films where you're on the edge of your seat. Slow movie zombies are more phsychological horror. An unstoppable threat that will get you eventually, no matter what you do.

If I had to think of an uber zombie, it would be the ones depicted in the trailer for the new movie "crazies". They look normal and act somewhat normal, but they are plotting your murder. It's like fast zombies, but smart and you can't tell if they're a zombie or not.

In fiction, fast zombies are more fun.
