No online comics? But even if they were there, my vote would go to Calvin and Hobbes, with Pearls Before Swine as second.

If you can't figure out mine you must be very very thick.

And my second favorite is Garfield.
No, I can guess...

I voted Far Side finally. Larson's style is wholly unique - there's nothing like it.

Dilbert! Fuck yeah!!! Far Side follows closely, trailed by Calvin and Hobbes. All three are great.

I'd post others, but I think they'd get me a swift blacklisting.

Lol, anyone who can't work it out seriously has to consider a frontal lobotomy or some other drastic brain surgery.

The Far Side would have to be one of the all round best comic strips made. A single panel in The Far Side can make the whole point.

Get Fuzzy for me I love Satchel pooch I laugh at the crazy things Bucky cat says and I love how they both exasperate Rob their owner :) I read that comic every day. Second to that is Non Sequitur I like that strip just as much.

Granted, my favorite is on there (Calvin and Hobbes forever), but I'm not sure a poll was the best format for this.

Nothing beats Calvin and Hobbes. Nothing.

Close second goes to Garfield Minus Garfield [http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/]

Calvin & Hobbes, with Dilbert jogging along struggling to catch up.
This exactly. I love Dilbert to death, but I have very fond memories of reading all of the Calvin and Hobbes book collections.

Doonesbury is my favorite. I read through the entire series when I was 14. I can cite cultural references from the 70s onward.

Calvin & Hobbes because it raised me, but it took a lot of thought to choose it over The Far Side.
Noticed via the avatar. That strip alone makes me crack up.

Calvin and Hobbes for the same reason as zeldakong64. Raised on C&H, Dilbert comes in a close second.

The far side for one reason. There is a comic of a burning city, with two cows talking to one another. One cow says "It would appear agent 3482 has accomplished her mission", with a direction sign indicating the city is Chicago.

That kind of "only six people will get this joke" kind of humor always makes me laugh if I actually get it.
Oh my god that's great. And for those of you who don't get it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Chicago_Fire

But still my favorite has to be Sinfest, it's similar to Calvin and Hobbes but with a more adult taste.

Calvin and Hobbes is truly brilliant, its in the guise of a comic strip but underneath it all its right up their with plato in terms of a philosophy fest. it is amazing and I worship it.
