Portal was great: I played it through, and have came back to it quite a few times since then.

Team Fortress 2 is peerless: I have played it more than any other game in recent memory.

The Half Life 2 series on the Orange Box were kind of overrated and disappointing to me. They were good, but not as good as I thought they would be.

Team Fortress 2 bores me at times. I don't know why.

Portal, however, wins in originality, comedy, and pure gameplay, all of which should be self-explainitory.

Definitely Portal, I still haven't played through Half-Life 2 and the episodes, but so far I don't really like Half-Life 2 that much. And Team Fortress 2 was just lame for me; even though I only played one game I didn't like the retarded physics (my rocket blasts didn't kill anyone while some dude with a shotgun killed me from across the room).
Physics are for losers.

Real men rocket-jump.

Portal was great, but HL2 beat it. Blowing CP's and zombies away never gets old. Also, Portal completely murdered my computer's hard drive speed, TF2 even worse so. Episode One was okay, and Episode Two crashed.

Definitely Team Fortress 2. And me owning the PS3 version of The Orange Box even more so proves my point. No updates, hundreds of tween no-life's glitching, a very limited variety of maps, and yet I still find mass amounts of joy from it.
...
I'm still praying for updates though.

Portal, the only game I like in the box which was why Still alive was a godsend. Half Life 2 didn't impress me, and I didn't have live for TF2

Yeah, I just got this thing about a week ago and I must say... It's not quite as awesome as the hype led me to believe (surprise surprise!).

BUT that's not to say I'm not having fun with it! And I just thought it'd be interesting to see what everyone else liked the most about it!

Oddly enough, I've liked Portal the most, out of the whole bundle. Half Life 2 was just one long collection of sewer/collapsed building levels (minus the final few in that giant tower which were AWESOME, by the way). Half Life 2: Episode 1 seems pretty good so far, but still nothing all that amazing. I haven't gotten to Episode 2 yet, though I'm sure it'll be more of the "meh" and "purty awesome" that the others have been so far.

Team Fortress 2 has just been a massive cluster of people randomly running around and blowing each other up. BUT the art style is so awesome that I can't help but give it credit.

Portal on the other hand, despite being only a few hours long, and shallow as can be, I've had a lot of fun jerking around in ways that no mere mortal should ever be allowed to!... Nasty...

ANYWAYS my overall feelings for VALVe seems to be "slightly above average". Even the Left 4 Dead games just come across as being "okay" but not really pushing too hard to try and be super awesome. It's just weird because this company and its games have received quite a lot of praise and hype (even from Yahtzee, no less.) and yet I have such mild feelings towards them...

Eh, ah well...
Did you get it for Xbox, or PC?

Also remember that Half-Life 2 is 6 years old at this point. (It begun the current generation of video-games we're in.)

Too true. About 70% of my friends list is made up of people met on TF2.

Despite being updateless, rather exploit-y and awful netcode-y wise there's a hell of a lot of fun to be had in the game.

Team Fortress 2 by far! Half-Life and Portal are great games too, but TF2 is the game I've been playing almost daily for many months already. A class-based team deathmatch shooter is really my thing, and TF2's unique art style also helps to keep it entertaining. Man, I feel like playing a round right now.

Team Fortress 2, indoubtedly. Portal may have been original, but it dosen't evolve over time like TF2 does.

Probably Portal. I don't play online so I didn't play Team Fortress 2 and Half Life 2 didn't really keep my interest long enough to finish it then play Episode 1 and Episode 2.

But Portal was a lot of fun to me and I have finished it quite a few times now.

I vote for TF2. I get way more hours of fun out of it than I do Portal, and I don't count the first two HL2 chapters as truly being part of The Orange Box, since I already had them before.
HL2:Ep2 is amazing, though. But significantly fewer opportunities for replay. (Not that I haven't replayed the entire series about a dozen times.)

TF2. Portal is an amazing game, and I've played it through numerous times now, but you can't argue with my TF2 playtime stats, constant updating to keep it fresh, being one of the few multiplayer games where you need to play together or die alone, and how much fun I have on it makes it not only one of the best games in the orange box, but one of the best games out there.

Just quickly scanning through, we have the Escapist TF2 group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC], we play semi-regularly, although most of us are up for pickup games. If you want to get involved, add me to Steam (chimpyacee) or join that group. I pulled the names that I could see played TF2, if you are on Steam and I didn't include you, feel free to join, likewise if you're on PS3/360 and I've included you, apologies.

OT: TF2. It's the only one in the pack that has kept me playing repeatedly since I bought it.
