I dig Argonians, personally. They can breathe underwater and are immune to poison. Meaning that you have 2 less things to worry about. And they have cool names, like Runs-In-Circles and Big Head.

I dig Bretons. Strong magic, and magic resistance. Redguards are good too, if I wanna play a more fighter-ish character.

It was always a tossup between wood-elf and imperial. If i wanted to hack everything to death with my sword.. then sweet talk my way out of it.. i chose imperial.. if i wanted to steal peoples puppies and snipe cliff racers lol... i chose wood-elfs

You failed to specify on Nords. They are basically tall Dwarves.

I do like the Dunmer a fair bit, I guess they just look evil.

Did the fellow dunmer at the start threaten to rape your wife?

I like argonians myself, as the other races make breathing underwater too complicated, and the combat has always been easy so it doesn't matter.

Well I see I'm the only one to choose high elf so far, but I stick by it.
My best character in that game was a high elf pure-mage.
He never died, never wore armor, only used staffs, and killed everything all the time everywhere. Totally unkillable. I ate that game for breakfast with that character. Plus he was tall, like me, so that helped me relate a little more. But seriously: Killed everything. I rarely got hit.

I'll play anything that isn't argonians or cats. The stupid animal hybrids are silly and underpowered too.

I failed to specify on more than that. I just was clarifing the alternate race names, and which were the Reptiles and Kitties.

Argonians hands down.

I mean, they have City Swimmer!

[sub]And they can breathe underwater, but that's not as important as City Swimmer[/sub]

Yes, but the other races are inconsequential.

Fixed. Nords are my second favorite race, after all.

I liked redguard, partly because I liked the hammerfell backstory, partly because they're the only good human fighter option.

Although, My redguard ended up becoming a mage. Don't know how that happened, somewhere between roleplaying and finding magic more fun than I thought it'd be.
