Poll: Favorite element in Borderlands

I never really sought out elemental guns. I tossed a acid revolved (the Maliwan one I think? I don't remember.) in my bank for helping my friends with the Lance. And I used a shock sniper for the first time you see the Guardians. But then I got Trespass and it was unnecessary. But besides that, I never really used them. So I guess I'm lame by your poll's standards.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again (at least until the 18th). Give Roland (with the clip extenders, metal storm, stat, and regenerating health) a Combustion Hellfire and a Volcano, and he will set the world on fire.

That said (again) the Pestilent Defiler (3 shot max... the more shots in the gun, the less damage each shot does) did do wonders on all the armored f*ckers, but it did more to the fire-based enemies. So, I have both in the weapon slots, making damn sure nothing, and I mean NOTHING gets close to me. As for the 4th slot, if it says S&S on it, it's in there.

I tended to keep one of each (minus explosive) on me just for the rock-paper-scissors thing where electrical>shields, acid>armor, fire>tanky HP and nonelemental>elemental resistant bastards. That was all revolvers and snipers with Mordecai, in case you're wondering.

I tended to use acid the most, though. So many armored things later on...

OT: Acid, because the Armory DLC is nigh impossible without it. Of course, if I have a decent Hellfire in my inventory, then fire is my favorite. The only one I have on me at the moment has a fire rate of ~6.9, it was awful.

My favourite revolver ever was a lovely corrosive one, but nothing beats the sight of an explosive Bloodwing.
With the delightful trespass skill to ignore shields, lightning was rendered completely useless. As was Bloodwing, but hey ho.

Specifically because it makes the most difficult stretch of the game a cakewalk. Eridian ghosts melt to lightning.

I was perfectly fine with just shooting normal bullets. I took elemental weapons every now and again but as long as the bullets went into the squishy parts I was content.

Lightning on most guns, explosive on snipers, and fire on grenades. I voted lightning by the way.

Well the Maliwan Hellfire is my favorite gun so that probably answers your question. That gun is pretty much a flame thrower and will even destroy armored enemies. Not great Eridians though.

Explosive. Way back when, my favourite gun in Perfect Dark was the Maian Phoenix, an alien pistol with explosive rounds as it's alternate fire mode. I've longed to find a weapon that replicates the magic of so long ago...

Normally I would say fire, and fire is always awesome, but lightening was pretty badass in the game.

I like watching my enemies go all crispy and and twitchy from my spray of bullets.
