Poll: Favorite Game Publisher

Usually, when I am buying a game, after the genre and the Metacritic review, the thrid speculation that I look for is the game publisher, because obviously bad game publishers have a tendency to adopt shitty games. My personal preference is Bethseda, because they make amazing RPGs....you gotta love high explosives. I like Valve a lot as well, they've pretty much mastered the art of the multiplayer online mode....take THAT Bungie.

I dont really have a favourite. What i dont understand is why people hate EA?

People are dumb, that's why spend most of my time on the escapist in the first place. Even though EA has made a jubilee of amazing games, people completely ignore that and find that the bad sports games that they've made are the only ones worth mentioning and outline their entire reputation with that naiveté.

I think people are under the impression that the only games EA makes are yearly sports games, they only look at the games, but not EA as a publisher.

Since we're going with publishers, I'll go with Take Two, who have Bioshock and Rockstar Games.

I know I'm probably going to catch alot of Flak for this, but I still love Nintendo. I also love Bioware, Obsidion, Rare, Insomniac, Lionhead, Ubisoft, Red Storm Rising, Konami, Capcom, and finally The Behemoth.

I personally have yet to play a game from nintendo that isn't extremely well developed, they take their time and it shows by the quality.

EA, they publish most of my favorite titles that aren't published by the developer or something like that. 2nd is Take-Two, then Bethesda.

I think the reason people hate EA is because they churn out absolute rubbish, as does Ubisoft (I work for a games retailer so I see just how much rubbish comes out by certain publishers) Nintendo also have some oh so very aweful games.

And I will never buy a game by South Peak ever again. Two Worlds left a nasty taste in my mouth.

My favourite publishers though, Bethesda, definately, Bioware, Square Enix and Atlus

It has to be Microsoft - Mistwalker, Lionhead and Epic are all Microsoft game studios. Outside of them it would have to be Square - Enix.
