stardock, they at work hard to fix the games they publish, and they don't use (much) DRM.

I think the reason people hate EA is because they churn out absolute rubbish, as does Ubisoft...
I don't know how you can sit there and say that Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six and Beyond Good and Evil are "rubbish". Also, arguably, Far Cry and Ghost Recon.

You hurt my feelings.
Don't get me wrong, Ubisoft have had a couple of hits. But how can you tell me that Imagine Babies, Imagine Doctor, Imagine Teacher, Imagine Pet Vet, Imagine Gymnast, Imagine Fashion Designer, Rayman Rayman Rabbits / 2 / TV party, LOST, the "PETZ" series are Ubisoft not just churning out rubbish? They even bought Tom Clancys' name to slap across H.A.W.X to get it to sell.
Some people like those types of games (i.e. children) and apparently there's a market for them. That doesn't make them rubbish. A rubbish game (in my opinion) is one that doesn't meet it's targets, or that has things fundamentally wrong with it (major bugs, glitches, etc.).

There's a difference between making games for children, or making a series of games and just churning games out. Obviously you have the yearly games (Fifa, Tiger Woods, Need for Speed) which I can understand. But to just churn out games knowing they'll sell to make a quick buck is my idea of a rubbish developer / publisher.

The imagine series isn't great, not even for children.
