I'm a well admitted fan of JRPG's but in all honesty I love good games from all Genre's.

my favorite Non-RPG games tend to be Action Adventure games or really well made Shooters. (Metal Gear Series, Prince of Persia, Half-Life)

It used to be RPG's but good western RPG's are few and far between on the consoles and i fucking hate the belts and zippers brigade so i have moved on to FPS/TPS'.

My favorite would have to be a FPSRPG. Not FPS, not RPG, but a satisfying fusion on the level of Deus Ex, Vampire: Bloodlines, System Shock 2, ect.

Voted "other", I can't really decide on a favorite genre. Fighting games, RTS, turn-based tactics, arcade action... I play pretty much anything but sports/simulators/driving. Very little RPG, but I'm hoping to change that now that I have a PC.

Wow, before I bumped this, shooter was winning by a respectable amount, but now it's RPG, big time. Can RPG fans elaborate on their favorite things about RPG gaming? Also, do you prefer JRPG or western ones?

I chose other, because "Shooter" is a bit too vague (it might've meant FPS). My favorite genre are the shmups. I like run 'n' guns too.
