Poll: Favorite Genre

What is your favorite genre of games? Mine are RPGs with good emphasis on combat, because I love RPGs, but sometimes the combat is just too dry to keep going (see any Square JRPG with turnbased combat).

What about a Shooter RPG? I would prefer that (Fallout 3, FTW).

A common mistake. I find that good RTS games get less attention from the main gamer crowd.

ive also never owned a pc, so i never play RTSs, although halo wars looks promising in terms of addictive online play, and it seems to have a very good setup for console RTS

I enjoy shooters very much, but I don't get fundamentally mired in them the way I do in an RPG. Not usually, anyway. No pure shooters have been long enough yet to do what KotOR II did, vis keep me playing it for about 30 hours straight.

I resist the temptation to go into console-RTS bashing mode.
By what I've heard, Halo Wars is suprisingly pleasing to people who dislike RTS games. I've also heard a lot of positive feedback about the simplicity (ugh) of Halo Wars. So, if you like simple RTS games and don't have a decent PC, I guess Halo Wars is a good choice.

I have no real favourite. But I can play a good strategy game for hours.

But I do like RPG FPS and Racing.. If they all get mixed together it is usually even better.

Probably FPSes. I enjoy blowing the hell out of things. Plus, their multiplayer is usually passable.
