I enjoy RPGs most, especially if story and characters are good. I don't really get fighter games, but I play them anyways, mostly with friends. Aside from RPGs, I don't have second favorite - maybe FPS, just because I'm good at them

Well... my most played game-type is FPS, but my favourite games to play are RPG's so.

No stealth based games? Thief, MGS, and I'd even lump parts of Assassin's Creed in there, too (except for the last bit, which turned into a fighter for some reason). I like any sort of game where the emphasis is on thinking instead of button-mashing. Puzzle-inspired games like Portal are a close runner up.

Give me a high quality JRPG, and I'll play it. Maybe not finish, but play it.

Give be a world of orcs and elves and sorcery, and I'll play it.

In other words, give me an RPG. As for least favorite genre? RTS.

Turn based strategy is another story, though. My second favorite genre.

RPG though, for me. The Witcher has really impressed me. And since my second favorite game is Neverwinter Nights, (for all the community content)... yeah, I'm going to have to go with RPGs.

They're a collection of 1's and 0's combined to form a program designed to entertain the human mind. Therefore, game. Most would be placed into the genre of "Party games", although Wii Sports could arguably be placed under Sports. Which you also don't have.

A common mistake. I find that good RTS games get less attention from the main gamer crowd.

ive also never owned a pc, so i never play RTSs, although halo wars looks promising in terms of addictive online play, and it seems to have a very good setup for console RTS

I resist the temptation to go into console-RTS bashing mode.
By what I've heard, Halo Wars is suprisingly pleasing to people who dislike RTS games. I've also heard a lot of positive feedback about the simplicity (ugh) of Halo Wars. So, if you like simple RTS games and don't have a decent PC, I guess Halo Wars is a good choice.

Hmmm... I love PC RTSs, but I just never play them. Age of Mythology and Age of Empires are fun games, and Supreme Commander is awesome. I've just been looking at my options on consoles for RTSs, since I don't have the cash to drop on a new computer right now (I've got a Mac) and I have to say, it doesn't look too pretty. Stormrise, a game that was supposed to "change" things for console RTSs ended up being a colossal failure, and every other console RTS is a port of a much better PC version. Once I start to see the price of Halo Wars drop, I think I may pick it up, because it seems pretty interesting, and while it might not be an incredibly deep RTS game akin to an RTS on the PC, I hope that it will satisfy my craving for an RTS while a scrounge together the cash for a nice PC.

not surprised, considering the other categories. shooters are the only genre coming close, and since is the escapist, my guess is is that that category won't be taking home the crown.

Deus Ex was the best fusion of Shooter and RPG,
but I do like the puzzle genre.
