Blaine is hands down the best, except in the anime. He was kind of lame then, but so were most gym leaders compared to their manga/game versions.

Yeah, Blaine was amazing! The anime made him seem like a chump.

It was either Sabrina or Koga. I ended up choosing Sabrina. I liked her just a little bit better. ^^'

Blaine. As far as fights go he was pretty easy but one of the cooler gyms and pokemons. Koga was a ***** to kill and Erika was annoying as hell to take down.

Misty and Brock were way to easy and the show ruined them. They are hard as hell in heart gold.

I always liked Surge. Since I usually picked Squirtle, I could breeze through quite a lot of the game with just him. It was nice to be made to mix it up a bit.
However, trying to beat him without any ground types is something I don't think I'll be trying again. Thanks to that little mo'fo' Magnemite.
I hate steel types...

Oh, also, he has a Raichu. I like Raichus. That makes Surge cool.
