I think fireballs are conjuration at least they were in nwn. Magic missile is evocation. Anyway, I go for conjuration because you can conjure cool area of effects and summon monsters and the like. Edwin Odesseiron was a conjurer.

EDIT: I was thinking of was fire arrow, fireball was evocation.

Necromancy FTW. There is literally nothing more satisfying that pulling an opponent's soul out through their nose and sealing it into a crystal to use as a power source later. *Laughs Manically*

I've always been a fan of Wizards and Mages in games. Something about making a Fireball in your hands and throwing it at someone's face brings me great joy. So definitely Evocation for me.

I would say a cross between Illusion and Divination. Divination can be used to predict pointless/ dangerous etc. conferances and to spy on important people which you could then uese illusion to make them do what you want.

If there is room have Necromancy on the side, just for the kicks.
