I voted Frances though, because while I personally play Zoey or Louis whenever possible; all my best friends seem to fight over Francis, so I got attached to the guy as the one I can always count on to save my bum and not run off ahead when somebody is lagging behind.

I love all the characters. Valve did a great job of giving them all their own personalities. However, if I had to pick one, it'd probably be Zoey. She has some great lines.

For the Infected, I quite like the Boomer. Fragile as hell, but it's fun to barf on people and utterly halt their progress as they f(l)ail blindly at the rush of horde, and the specials that then take advantage of their blindness.

I like playing as Zoey and I'm not entirely sure why. Probably because she's a chick I guess?
Although I do like the idea of being a small, agile fighter. I know the characters have no differences between them, but being Bill or Francis makes me feel like I'm a big, slow soldier rather than an fast and agile one.
And I don't like Louis's voice. I just find it annoying.
I think it's important to find a character you like and stick with them. After a while I got so used to playing as Zoey that playing other characters threw me off. I got used to hearing any other character's voice and knowing an ally was nearby, or keeping track of where my allies were by the character they played as. When I played as anyone else I would wander off thinking my own character's voice was a nearby ally, or mis-count characters and think we're missing a person and realize that I'M the character I'm looking for.

Louis, since he's probably the most relatable character for me (mid 20's, professional, seems like a gamer). Though, unfortunately, they got the skin pigment wrong for my pale, white, Irish ass.
Overall, don't mind who I end up as, just as long as my teammates aren't braindead or screaming into the mics.
