What is your favorite special armor in mass effect 2?

I mean armor like the blood dragon armor, or the terminus armor.

My favorite armor is the cerberus armor, exclusive to cerberus network users.

I have a problem with the downloadable armours; you can't take off your helmet. So I just stick to my custom armour.

I was surprised at how well the Blood Dragon armor from DA:O translated into ME2. I was also surprised - and disheartened - that I couldn't see my Erika's lovely dark face as I gave an enemy an extra orifice in the middle of his head. So on that note, I too prefer my custom "shadow armor" (since I can't color individual sections and make her look like War Machine :/).

I like the stats on the umbra visor but I just can't take Shepard seriously with those huge, shining goggles.

I like my custom armour. Although I think that cerberus assault armour is probably the most balanced of the custom armours. The collector chitin armour is quite good, but it just looks to freaky, especially on a female character. I almost never refuse to use good equipment on the basis of appearance, but it's just too much.

But for the record, the fact I can't see my facial expressions in set armour is ridiculous.. seeing as Bioware spent a lot of effort creating "30 new facial expressions for the new Shepard, compared to the 5 he had in ME1.."
Seems unbelievably weird of Bioware to do this.
So I use custom armour.

I usually never pick armour based on appearance, but for a game like Mass Effect, which its No.1 selling point and awesomeness, is the personality and personal-ness of your Shepard, the immersion.. and that comes from facial expressions. That's what made the CGI in Avatar groundbreaking, etc.. FACIAL EXPRESSIONS!!!!!

So yeah.. custom

what is collector armour? I want to be able to make her take her armour off seeing as I only make female characters.

I would use Blood Dragon for my Sentinel and Cerberus Assault for my Soldier if not for the no taking off helmet thing. I still don't understand why they removed the toggle helmet on and off option. Otherwise, I would only have helmets on during fights. They could have done the Dragon Age thing where characters always have their helmets off during dialogue.
