Poll: Favorite Multiplayer

I want to know what your favorite multiplayer game is like Halo 3 or Gears 2.(example)

TF2, though I tend to hate multiplayer.

Out of that list, Shadowrun. It was only let down by Microsoft shutting down FASA before they could add anything or fix all the tech problems. The gameplay itself was very exciting and complex.

Is this online multiplayer? I tend to avoid online multiplayer, the only one I played seriously being the first Neverwinter Nights. If its couch/local multiplayer then my favorite would be Castle Crashers. I guess playing Starcraft over LAN is also kind of similar in that sense so I guess that would also be a favorite of mine. I generally prefer single player games though and I generally dislike the people I meet online, they being people and me being an unsociable prick.
Also, I tend to find that assholes congregate when things are competitive in nature. Seeing as video games are ultra-competitive: Assholes.

I don't know why none of you consider older games. LoZ: 4 swords for the Gamecube had fun multiplayer. You could team up to do the story, or you could just play around on the battle mode. Unfortunately, there are few people these days with a good Gameboy Advance and a GCN-GBA link cable...

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst is a great miltiplayer. soo much fun meeting up with friends and kicking ass.

Team Fortress 2. That game is so much fun. It's easy to get into, and then really deep if you want to explore all of the classes. I have so much fun whenever I'm playing it. Except for spy checks... Those suck...

Where is Battlefield 2? That's an awful poll you've got there. The only good game on that in multiplayer terms, would be Team Fortress 2.

So yeah, I vote Battlefield 2, because it actually encourages team play and co-operation.
