I didn't include enhancements because I don't count them as spells.

So I have been playing dishonored and my favorite spell has been blink. It is just so usefull for getting around undetected. Blink + Dark Vision = super stealthy awesomeness. Devouring swarm comes in a very close second because it is morbidly fascinating to watch them devour their prey. Also on my high choas run they help keep 2 enemies busy while I kill the rest.

So what is your favorite?

Blink cuz its a game breaking innovation to stealth games. Its like the old spice commercial "Look at me now ring the alarm now back at me i am on a roof" ridiculously overpowered for a stealth game yet soooo satisfying although the game allows the thief like approach blink saves time

A horde of ravenous plague rats. I was the Black Death Incarnate the first time through, punishing Dunwall for its many sins. I killed everyone...except Granny Rags. Gotta respect the greater evil.

Wind Blast.

Never giggled at a spell as much as I do with that one.

"I'm just going to stand really close to the edge of this really high platform".

"Oh no ... where did that strong breeze come from that knocked me off, i'm falling to my doom".

Blink by far. it's so awesome to blink around people, on ledges and just run circles around the guards without them knowing that you're there.

Slow time comes on a close 2nd place. Slowing down time and running past everyone without them noticing was really helpful.

The combination of the two was good enough to help me ghost every single mission on very hard.

blink teleportation always wins, always. Combined that with the mantling, it really make it really good fun to get around in the game.

Blink is the most useful but I have had my fun with possession. It also helps me get out of combat because I try to keep my body counts low.
I am finding it extremely hard to get past everyone without being detected in some areas. I don't use dark vision though which would probably help.

Well, Blink is the most used and the most versatile. Use it to get everywhere you want, use it to silently appear behind (or above if you're fancy) an enemy to slit their throats, or just creep the fuck out of attackers.

On the other hand, Bend Time allows me to stick a Spring Razor to someone's face and shoot five other blokes in the face simultaneously, and still have time to hide on a lamppost to watch the fireworks. Too bad it costs a ridiculous amount of runes.

Also, Darkvision II makes finding money and avoiding traps way too damn easy.

Yeah, Blink was mildly insane. For my second playthrough I'll avoid upgrading it simply because level 2 blink makes a good chunk of the game trivial. Though to be honest, it's crazy fun.

Next on the list would be Dark Vision. Level 2 DV is, again, gamebreaking. Not only does it let you see enemies through walls, it lets you see EVERYTHING. Almost any item that can be interacted with is highlighted and then color coded (Blue for machinery, Green for items, Yellow for people/animals). This results in something similar to Detective Vision from the Arkham games, where you spend more time in the "alternate" vision mode than in the regular one, losing out on the visuals. My second playthrough will skip Dark Vision entirely.

Timestop (level 2). It stops time. All of it. Completely. You can run from person to person and choke/stab them one by one. You can land a headshot on each and every person in the general area. Or you can simply run through, ignoring everyone. For some reason I forgot I had this most of the time, which is good. The game was easy enough already.

In fact, my second playthrough won't use any active power aside from Blink 1...

Bend Time, Rank 2.

I just love to see six bolts from my crossbow frozen in time, striking down six guards within one instant.

Blink combined with agility is super OP, you never have to leave the roofs!

That's got to be blink. I don't care if it's game breaking, it's just too much fun. It's nice to play a game with special powers that aren't nerfed to shit for the sake of balance for a change.

Blink for utility, posession or devouring swarm because what's not to love about posessing a fish or getting people eaten by rats?

My first playthrough was non-lethal/ghost, so definitely Blink.

Though Possession and Stop Time were handy when it came to pickpocketing and moving around some of the more heavily guarded areas, Blink had the most utility and was very cheap.

The game might've benefited from nerfing it a bit though.
