Odd I happen to enjoy the table top type of RPG game. I don't see that here. Though I guess I will have to say FPS rpg due to my new found love for Borderlands.
However I will not vote in your silly poll due to the way you worded the question. It allowed for too much variation in answers to create an accurate poll.

The only time I can stand turn based is when the platform can't really do real time action. Like Pokemon

Where's the Tabletop/pen 'n paper RPG option?

As a computer game? An isometric view featuring real-time movement and control with hidden turn-based combat system where you can pause at any point to change what your characters do.
Baldur's Gate, pretty much.

I went for the second option based upon that series. Still not sure if I voted for the right thing though

I've always been a sucker for a nice Tactical RPG
Examples: Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem, Disgaea etc
It just feels quite rewarding to control the battle more than just pressing the attack button every time its your turn. And it's really satisfying feeling like you've actually used your brain while playing a game.

My favourite is traditional turn based a la Pokémon because I am a simpleton. I do like the other kinds like Fallout 3 and Paper Mario. I started playing Final Fantasy 7, expecting more of the same, but instead they put in that stupid timer bar system of turn based combat from FF4. I don't know why, but I really hate that system.

I kind of wondered that, too, in the back of my mind, but then I decided to file it under "turn-based", since that's how we always handled stuff in D&D. It's a little more flexible, since people can interrupt stuff at any time and pass notes and crap, but we generally tended to stick to "go around the room in order" to keep it from getting too chaotic, especially when we were up to eight people at one point.
