The Wind Waker is my favourite Zelda game. The sense of wonder and freedom is unmatched by any other and I like the sailing. I understand that it's really love-it-or-hate-it.

Majora's mask. The atmosphere is just perfect, and feels like the most complete world in any Zelda game.

I love all of them though. :D

it's very close between OoT and TP but think TP takes the crown. Wind Waker was good, Majora's Mask was meh, Link to the Past was good, original Legend of Zelda was good, not played the Oracle games.

At least A Link To The Past didn't have an annoying faerie that kept saying, "Hey!"
Without a doubt it's my favorite. Call me old school (since I started on Zelda 1), but I never finished Ocarina of Time or any of the ones after that.

25 years old? Really? Can we maybe expect a disc bundled with new Wiis and Skyward Sword that contains every Zelda ever made? Man, I'd probably buy a huge safe to keep that in, surrounded by guard dogs, bear traps, LASER-guided bee cannons.... It would just be too precious to leave lying around haha

OT: For most of my life I would've said Ocarina of Time, but that's heavily influenced by nostalgia. Nowadays, however, when I've actually thought about it, there (pretty much) isn't really anything that makes any game (out of the ones I have played) better than the others. Graphics, gameplay, story, MUSIC (OH GOD YES, THIS!) are all fantastic. HOWEVER, Majora's Mask had the most originality, besides regurgitating OoT's engine, and most interesting side-quests. I only choose MM because a choice has to be made.

You know, it's really cruel to make me choose which of my children I love the most...

Definitely agree that Phantom Hourglass is bottom of the list. It would have been fine if it didn't have that timed temple which made me stop playing it, because I was sick of it after like, I don't remember, the 5th time I had to go through the whole thing again. I hate it when time becomes a core mechanic in games, that is why I dare to put Majora's Mask on the bottom of my list below Hourglass, because I got through more of Hourglass than Majora's Mask. It really is one of those games where a person is going the love it or hate it, I haven't really seen too many in between people.

I checked off Ocarina of Time, but I have two favorites, that and A Link to the Past. Both are great games, and they both carry with them memories of my childhood. It's on of those rare nostalgia moments that can be backed up because they are still awesome

Yeah, that one temple absolutely wrecked the game for me.
Majora's Mask is an interesting case. I judge a Zelda largely on the quality of its temples and bosses. Three of the temples are just plain boring (Woodfall Temple, Snowhead Temple, and the Great Bay Temple) in Majora's Mask and Stone Tower is my least favorite temple in the series. The bosses aren't so great either. But the overworld and characters are incredibly good and memorable. The masks are fun to collect and use and there are many fun minigames. I guess I like it as a game a lot more than I like it as a Zelda game.

Now that I've been thinking about it. I should just put up my list.

1.)Windwaker
2.)Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons
3.)Link to the Past.
4.)Twilight Princess
5.)Ocarina of Time
6.)The Adventure of Link
7.)The Legend of Zelda
8.)Phantom Hourglass
9.)Major's Mask.

Those are the only ones I have played.

Wow Wind Waker is doing a lot better than I thought it would. But yeah I'd have to say Wind Waker is my favorite. I like the style of the game, the game play was great, I loved the world and I even kind of liked the sailing.

All in all it's probably my favorite Zelda game.

I had to put "other" because there is no option for the minish cap. First zelda i completed, and in my opinion, the most fun one i have ever played.

In at a very close second is windwaker, because it was pure awesome. Seriously, i wish they would just do the new one using the windwaker style link. The little cartoon one, like tetra and the pirates. I don't like this "half realistic, half cartoon" shite.

Thirdly, (only fractionally more than the others) would be spirit tracks. Simply because i liked that you were an established train driver, not a fairy or whatnot. That, and there were neat little side missions and such, and i think the train thing was executed quite well.

Clearly i am a fan of the toon link...

sorry, one more reason for choosing minish cap above all else; Vaati. I think that vaati is just a more interesting villain than Gannon, although they die just as bloody hard >:D

Understandable. My problem is if a game uses a mechanic that I don't like/can't get my head around/or isn't fun to use in my opinion, I just can't get into anything else in the game because the mechanic is in the way.

Pointing out another annoyance from Hourglass. There is that one temple/room where you have to go in and it says that you need to get the image from the wall onto your map. I sat there for more than a half hour trying to think of how it would even be possible. Then I felt really dumb when I closed my DS in anger, went to the bathroom and when I came back and opened it, it went "bling" that I had figured it out.

Ya it is an interesting use of the DS, but it wasn't very obvious to me that that would have been the choice, seeing as I didn't know that the DS was capable of something like that, since on other games, closing the screen puts the game in sort of a sleep mode.

Played all of them and found OoT and LttP are my favourites, no nostalgia either because I still play OoT and LttP was the last one I completed. Went with OoT though because I just found it more interesting.

Easierst question I've been asked all day!

Ocarina of Time!

The game is EPIC! I can't find a fantasy based game better! Even after playing it about 3 time all the way through it has never got boring (ok maybe the water temple that's just insane to do!)

I can't think of a game that I have played more in my life!

I like that one zelda game that has monsters and puzzles and you play as a character named link and have to go through dungeons and save the princess from the evil Ganon/Ganondorf
