Poll: Favourite and least favourite pokemon type

Normal is my favorite, because it has the most cute and huggable pokemans.

Rock on the other hand I find quite boring. Although I may just be saying that because I'm tired of seeing Geodude every single time I wander into a cave.

I have a thing for ice types. Most of them are connected to water, so I guess water too.
My least favourite would be fighting types. To much testosterone.

I actually liked Bug damage as it existed in Red/Blue -- almost all Grass were also Poison Type and several were also Psychic, making that 4x damage towards an entire type almost, not to mention the whole Poison typing (which simply made Pokemon weaker) and of course it was also the only weakness of Psychic of the time. Unfortunately there were no good bug moves and the good Bug Pokemon were dual type or didn't know any Bug moves -- oh well.

I don't like STRONG dragons. I like flygon, bot because it's a dragon, but because it looks like a bug and is part ground. I have a friend who i find very boring because he always uses psuedo-legendary dragons, salamence, garchomp only though, because he won't use a pokemon if it cracks any kind of smile or reflects any kind of positive emotion. He started playing pokemon in generation 4, so he is very boring when it comes to the ones he picks. And turns off almost every time he loses. Friend or not? I'm not sure. Is garchomp considered an uber? It sure seems like one.

Can I do favorite dual pokemon type? I like both Ghost and Fire, but combine the two and you get my favorite new pokemon. So I'll go with Ghost/Fire.

Least favorite? I'll go with another combo. Rock/Ground. So many good pokemon have been exploited due to types that repeat themselves.

My favorite pokemon is swampert. if he ever gets to learn dragon dance in the future he will be unstoppable. seeing how hes my favorite I guess my least favorite is grass. They just arnt useful to me. I cant think of a single one that is a solid attacker. there might be a couple that are solid walls but I only play single player for the most part so using a wall would be dumb. The only exception to my grass=suck rule is torterra, he is beast.

also I used to hate bugs but now im trying to decide between the electric bug and the fire bug for my pokemon black team.

also used to dislike electric but with the new electric bug and that eel looking that that knows levitate which removes its only weakness... i think I like electric pokemon now.

Another favourite is the Ice type, not many pure Ice types but Regice is my favourite out of them. I mean its a giant iceberg and its special-defense stat is ridiculously high.

I think I'm in the minority here, but one of my favourite types is Normal. Porygon2 is one of my secret weapons, not as powerful special-attack wise as Porygon-Z, but it is a fairly decent tank and good in a Trick Room situation. Even if it does look like one of those drinking birds.

My least favourite type is probably the Rock type. Rock Pokemon can be good in physical-defense but special-defense wise not many of them are good. Plus they are usually dual-typed with Ground, which makes it twice as bad.

My favorite type would be dragon, then dark, then fire.
My least favorite are ghost, poison and psychic type. For some reason I rarely end up with these types.

A normal type is a pokemon that cannot be associated with a particular element. One that can control many of them but specialise in none. In terms of attacking, think of tri attack, it's a good example of what a normal type is, everthing, but the nature of the attack is meaningless when all are used at once, thus, its type is normal. Because you can't say, for sure. That's just how i think about it.

True, but that doesn't change my mind on the issue that Normals can be somewhat unimpressive overall. That isn't to say they are awful. Much like electric types, they only have one true weakness (fighting). They also are immune to one type (ghosts). The critical flaw, however, is that they don't deal the impressive damage the other types do as they have no advantage to anyone. Good, but not great.

its a pure normal type that learns the three bites through breeding (ice,fire, and electric) its ability doubles its speed in a sandstorm bringing its base 80 up to a very impressive base 160. In theory this is how I would use him. tyranatar sets up sandstorm. switch to scizor who is an awesome baton passer. he can pass on agility which would raise murrandos speed to jfkjdgj dshit balls levels or sword dance which would raise his already impressive attack even higher. have return for an amazing stab move and watch the opponents pokemon fall.

i've always loved fighting types, having made the best machamp ever! dynamic, fire, ice and electric punch attacks, whilst holding an expert belt to boost weakness attacking, and 'no guard' so he never misses. take that elite four!

I personally favour ghost types like Duskull and Desukaan due to their high defensive stats


Least favourite? Poison. Only one type advantage and its usually covered by grass/poison typing.

Favorite would have to be either water or flying.. As for least favorite... I find it hard to like Rock pokemon.

Favourite: Fire. There is something pure and honest about Fire types. Fire burns grass, gets doused by water. Simple and straight to the point. Obvious advantages and weakness, so a fun tactical choice to liven things up.

Least favourite: Ghost. Their just fucking cheep. Too often my friends and I would have a surge of nostalgia and pop in pokemon arena and everyone is having a good time with pikachus and squirtles and jigglypuff and then someone decides to drop three ghost pokemon in a row and we discover that while the rest of us came to have a few laughs and some joyous nostalgia this one person came here to WIN. Holy run on sentence batman. Ghost pokemon just kill any sense of good faith play for me.
